Im curious, how many have noticed that confidence affects everything you do or think? I even notice it in a spiritual sense, confidence in your meditation or spiritual growth. Is this some ego characteristic, or is something of the will, something which is limitlessly powerfull?

I'd say it's one ingredient that's essential in making things happen, material outward things or inner change. I think of it as faith, or belief, if that's the same as what you mean? If you don't believe it's going to work, other ingredients which are part of the mix for making things happen can't take effect.

RE: Confidence.... what do you think?

At One,

Hi. What I had in mind was what in my own terminology I call "alchemy" or "precipitation" or simply "manifesting". It's an ABC thing which I've written about in a review of "The Secret" under reviews. But making things happen is OK,and doesn't have to bedevoid of God as "The Secret" film seems to make it. IMO we do it all the time - everything, just to type one key of a keyboard, is an act of manifesting or doing.

So, there are books galore on this, but basically to do anything there are ingredients such as first, a concept, which may be intuitive; then a more concrete visualisation (of buying a house, or of strengthening a relationship - anything); then the emotion or desire to make it happen. All these things ar essential. There are several others such as persistence over long-term plans. But faith is one of the key six or seven things.

It seems to me that this is what the first post is about? You don't make a cup of herb tea or coffee unless you have faith that you can do it. Or larger things. And I think this is what is meant here by 'confidence'?

Or maybe confidence is slightly different: it might be 'faith in oneself': I know I can do this. ?

RE: Confidence.... what do you think?

This is the exact kind of confidence I am talking about V. The confidence of manifestation, or "way". I believe this requires a connection with the source. That is the underlying wisdom which can help us create our own dimension of existence.

I needed someone like you to remind me of this.

I find it interesting that there are so many levels of confidence. You ask, is it "faith in oneself"?
Sure... I believeconfidence starts from within and goes outward, then back again ( a circle of power).

Cause really, the soul is like the infinite absolute, and god is fine vibration. Such a finite concentration that it expands into the deepest infiniteexpansion.

Yet, is that whatgod is then? A single point whicheverything reflects? Of course there is much more to it, things we cant explain in words, but is this close to a quantum truth?

hrmmm...

Hi E,

Well, I suppose I was thinking more of material ability to do this and that. Which is a bit materialistic. But yes, I just take it for granted, in utter faith and knowledge, that we are not just 'human personalities', and that there's reincarnation, higher realms, etc. Ultimately there's no doubt in me that we are all this, in reality:
