Has anyone tried this, what are the benefits and what did you feel if you experienced this?
Would like to try this out myself, want to see what everyone else feels about this.
I took part in a sweatlodge this weekend, held by a canadian who has strong links with Blackfoot tradtions.
The lodge leader was very respecful and I felt in good hands.Modesty was the order of the day and everyone was clothed.
there were 5 rounds, with singing in each round. It got very hot and I was told that the heat is also connected to the intensity of what people were healing and releasing
I felt as if I was in a good community of human and other beings, and after the sweat, a red kite circled over to see what we were up to on her land

Xaa-wan’-t’i (welcome to you),
I am a card carrying Joshua/Cheyenne/Ojibwe tribal member and descendent of the great Ghost and Warm House dancers of the Pacific Northwest. I've moved to England to be with my husband and son and I'm scouting out a proper area for a traditional sweat lodge. I will also offer other types of ceremonies and Native American remedies upon request. This is the real thing. I'm aiming to have the first sweat lodge in September or October of this year (2015) and am just trying to compile a list of persons who may be interested. I'm also just learning the area, so if you know of any sites near a river or lake for swimming that may be appropriate, please put forth a suggestion.

(Thank you to you all)
It won't be traditional, since the ways of the spirits in England will be different to those ways you know. However, I'm sure you'll have a lot of interest. Good luck with it.
