Shamanic Test

A Shamanic Test is a challenge we have created for ourselves because we see the opportunity for using and integrating negative force to leap into a much higher level of consciousness, power and vision. If we fail these situations, we have a feeling of tragedy. The pain of this can be so great, it can feel like your heart is being ripped from your chest. These can be life or death situations. The situation may not necessarily be negative, but it can be dangerous. To fail the opportunity could mean the loss of what we have built up so far in our life.
To experience a Shamanic Test is to die to your old self. You can either move forward to a whole new level, or you can crash and burn. If you fail (or have failed) a Shamanic Test, typically you may have buried the pain and it will be affecting you negatively. But you still have the opportunity to learn the lesson, pass the test, transform it, and receive all the benefits from having succeeded. The test is on going if it is not passed the first time.

If you receive this card when you’ve asked about a past situation, though typically suppressed or repressed to withstand the pain, there is a good chance you failed the test. If you are in the middle of a situation now, know that energies from the depths of your mind are at play here, bringing about this situation. The first part is to see this challenge as an opportunity in which there is a way to succeed, which is to raise you to a new level of vision, birth, love, creativity, psychic ability, artistic or healing power. It can also bring about a whole new level of relationship for you.

This is one of the Enlightenment Cards that can have a special meaning when you flip it. If you receive this card, flip it in the air (flick it between your thumb and middle finger). If it lands face down, it means you are facing a Mastery Level Test. This has all the power of a Shamanic Test, but is at a higher level. Failing this test, you will feel crushed, as if your world has collapsed. It is crucial in a Mastery Level Test to ask for Guidance, to ask to be returned to your centre so grace can pour through you. Typically, you cannot do anything to succeed in this situation, but everything can be done through you. Do anything you are called upon or inspired to do. Many times both Shamanic and Mastery Level Tests are emerging from inside you, from old or even ancient memories of times when you failed these tests. The pain is now resurfacing, because, once again, you feel you have the wherewithal to succeed.
With awareness, venturing everything, totally giving every bit of yourself, asking for help from your Higher Mind, being open to inspiration and putting it all on the line … you will succeed in passing a Shamanic or Mastery Level Test. Then you will gain a new level of consciousness which can be used in service for yourself and those around you – artistic service, healing service, or whatever other medium shows itself. That you are facing this test means that an aware part of you must have believed it was possible for you to succeed. Go for it !
