Owl's flight is silent. Some Native American Indains call him "Hush-Wing". We can invoke Owl for the ability to keep silent, the will to hold onto that which must be kept secret. Owl is a keeper of the Moonlight Vision and those who honor Owl come to understand magic, wisdom, the mysteries and the powers of the night. The ancient primal people of Europe held Owl in high regard, recognizing him as a magical bird who can bring us psychic powers occult abilites, dreamtime visions, inner knowing and acceptance of the dark, the night, the shadow within and without.

Robin's red breast identifies her as a fire-bringer in the mythologies of peoples the world over.According to various folk legends, Robinbrought to humans but singed her plumage while doing so. So invoke Robin for fiery passion and energy.Folk wisom tells us that upon seeing the first Robin of springtime it is wise to stop and pray for hope, rebirth, regeneration and healing.

Hippopotamus,During the day Hippopotamus lolls about in a river or a watering hole. She spends her nights on land, foraging for food.Water is the element of feelings and intuitive knowing and earth is the element of grounded practicality and stability.
Hippo is at home in both realms. Hippopotamus medicine is invoked by those who wish to be in touch with their intuition, feelings andpsychic abilities while staying grounded, practical and stable.
