A thread was started about the Munay Ki, but seemed to fade away.
Although there seems to be a fairly steady stream of people looking for these rites their availability seems limited, I'm not sure why. They are not difficult to do as a process, the videos are on youtube, the introductions by Villoldo are on you youtube, and there is quite a lot of literature around if you look for it.
I think perhaps that simply going through the process is not quite enough, the real value lies in the spiritual meaning of each rite and the understanding of what it all means, and although this is explained it is not as clear as it might be. This may be why people are searching for someone to pass them the rites, perhaps many who can have not managed to key in with the true meaning of them, after all things like reiki (and healing in general) take quite a while and a lot of work to truly get to grips with.
My introduction was a complete surprise to me - and it came out of the blue (intruded actually) while meditating (doesn't almost everything?). It was only several weeks later that someone I know returned having just received them, and when he told me about them everything, all the questions and uncertainty, all the strange occurrences, the signs that seemed to make no sense, were answered, it all fell into place (I love it when that happens).
I found the rites both energetic and connecting, I understood what they were about in each case, it was as if I already knew, and for each of the rites there were meaningful past experiences that suddenly were put into context. This has continued to happen - for instance Villoldo talks about the rites making you age differently - seems like make-believe, and then along comes the news of telomerase, something that is already in all of us, and it does exactly what Villoldo says the rite will, and I believe we can, with intent, generate this internally.
Villoldo talks about the lightbody, something so many of us are familiar with so the connection to other modalities is an easy step.
While I found the rites themselves interesting, and very connecting at the time, especially as I feel very connected to nature and ancient sites, the experiences have not stopped, and whether because of the rites or because it is just where I am at the moment, it all fits. Villoldo talks about the rites and connections as seeds that grow, and I think this takes place, as long and one bothers or cares to nurture them.
As an example - and by the way reiki fits very, very well with the rites, I have been working with horses. Now I know nothing about horses, I can't ride and I don't really understand them, in fact I find them pretty intimidating and unpredictable. However I have had several encounters with them while out walking, in one case a horse came over and simply stood looking at me, face to face, nose to nose, for a couple of minutes despite its rider trying to get it to move on (this makes the riders nervous), if I see horses I can usually get them to come over if I simply look at them, connect energetically and raise my hand and greet them, again this is despite the riders trying to get them to not do this (including one special encounter with a huge Clydesdale where we shared breath for a bit, nostril to nostril). And as these things happen I have since socially in a kind of oblique way met two people with horses, and spent time treating both a small Shetland and a much bigger 'normal' horse (I told you I know nothing about them). I've had to just shed all fear and climb in with them, and get on with it, this can be disconcerting when their owners say 'she must like you 'cos she doesn't normally let strangers approach' and 'she must like you 'cos she never lets anyone touch her ears, especially like that', and when one rested her head on my arm and started slowly licking the inner part of my elbow for a couple of minutes I was just bowled over. This connection has extended to cows and even a llama, though sheep remain a bit of a problem.
At least some of this change I attribute to the rites and working with the lineage of shamans. The lessons that I have experienced with them, the things I have learned, not just from them, but about them have been marvelous, and they have a wicked sense of humour. The connections especially when visiting ancient sites are much clearer, louder, wider, not sure there is a word for it - but you get the drift. Healing wells and 'special places', even old churches, all places of power are more receptive and accepting, more giving in a way.
There is quite a lot of low level stuff on the internet, much of it repeated, and yet some of it is incredibly interesting if you only put it all together. The Four Winds Society (google four winds munay) has a lot about Munay Ki, dying consciously and soul retrieval (this is really interesting - and an important and powerful form of self-healing), interviews and transcripts, again some of it repeated elsewhere, but these things can be accumulated and expanded. The rites were released at least partly due to the approach of the end of the current Mayan calendar, so a timely release. If it sounds interesting, guess what, it is probably meant to, perhaps this is why I am writing and sharing this, anyway have a look if it resonates.
If you already have the rites - I'm really interested in hearing about your experiences and feelings, please share them.

love
chris

This is the third time I have come across Munay Ki this year (twice in the last month)!
Do you think I am being guided here???

It sounds so very interesting I now have to go and do a bit of digging about to see what I can find as I am intrigued 🙂

Will have to have a look at the Villoldo ones tonight.

Can you recommend a book at all?

Is this something you have self taught or have you been shown the way by someone?

You could check out my website pm me for the link as I don't think I'm supposed to give it here if I do it myself. I have an article there about my experience of receiving the Munay-Ki rites.

I love them, love receiving them, passing them on to others and working with them myself.

If you are drawn to it then go for it.

The rites are passed on from one to another. What each rite stands for are different asects but all are about the luminous body, our energy body, and how it interacts with everything.

This is a good start.

hi all...very old activity on this topic but here goes!!

I have recently received the rites and have found it to be a most amazing experience - as if all the threads of my spiritual life have been drawn together. I did the Teacher Level Training - the imagery, emotion & sensation of each rite were so different, quite mind blowing and what I really loved is that it all felt so familiar - I know that I have passed them on a 1000 times before. The only major challenge I have had is working with Serpent - what this archetype represents is all that I am deeply passionate about and have had no issues with in my life, yet there must be something as I have issues with her - a conundrum indeed.er all

I would also love to hear how things are going with you after all this time 😉

Hi Crowan,

I found the following: [DLMURL="http://www.munaykiawakening.com/Welcome.html"]Welcome to Munay-Ki Awakening | Recieve and learn the Nine Great Rites of the Munay-Ki | Shamanism[/DLMURL]

Quite interesting read, this site indicates that it may have Shamanic origins, however who knows.

Hi warriorangel,

Do you mind if I ask which country you are in and where you received the Rites?

And would you mind explaining a little bit more about working with Serpent... not quite sure what you mean.

The only major challenge I have had is working with Serpent - what this archetype represents is all that I am deeply passionate about and have had no issues with in my life, yet there must be something as I have issues with her - a conundrum indeed.er all

I received the Munay-Ki Rites in October 2014 and since receiving them my whole life has changed in a very positive way. My connection with the Earthkeepers has been nothing short of amazing. The Rites have set in motion a process of inner healing that goes back through all generations of my family and I as the oldest of my generation have been carrying all the programming, traumas, and imprints from all my ancestry in my DNA and energetically in my energy. The Munay-Ki have cleared so much of that, I can't even begin to describe it into words.
I already work as a shaman/curandero and have been on the shamanic path for many years and the Munay-Ki have taken that to another level.
The Munay-Ki also set in motion a process in which your DNA is re-informed and this allows you to grow a new body that ages differently, heals differently, and dies differently. You start a transformation from homo sapiens to homo luminous. You in essence become a luminous being.
I'm also a Munay-Ki mentor and give the Rites on a regular basis. The transformations I've seen in my protégés is just amazing and I consider it a big honour to pass these amazing rites to anyone who feels drawn to receiving the Rites.
The Rites can only be passed on by someone who has received all 9 rites. I agree that outwardly it may look quite simple and straight forward, but energetically it's a completely different thing. So watching the videos on YouTube may give you an idea of how they are passed on but it does not put you in a position to pass them on. Once you receive all 9 Rites it takes about 6 months for them to fully integrate, only then are you ready to pass them on. During the integration period I give regular coaching and exercises to help the Rites to integrate properly.
The Rites are initiations, a baseline for potential. It's up to you to work with the Rites, to strengthen them, to feed them, and to go with them wherever they take you. Some of the Rites can take you to the outer reaches of the galaxy, whilst others are so small that you might even struggle to remember their name. You are an individual and the rites will integrate in you in a very individual way.

If you are interested in the Rites I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have. PM me if that is the case.

Much Munay XX

Serpent is all about letting go of the past and releasing it just like it sheds its skin. It's about walking softly on the Earth and not creating any ripples. Serpent teaches us that we have to let go of outworn ideas and patterns, shed them in other to grow.

You can't receive the rites from watching YouTube videos. The Rites can only be received from someone who has received all 9 Rites and has gone through the integration process.
