Well I never! I read this post about 15 minutes ago. Anyway I just went into the kitchen to make myself a cuppa and there is a blackbird sitting on the hedge in my back garden! Standing up nice and proud and when he was sure I had seen him off he flew into the tree. Well if that ain't a sign then what is???

This winter I have 2 couples of blackbirds coming to my balcony. Never happened before.

They fight a little over the food so I had to make 2 places where I put seeds. Sometimes they lay down and are resting in my flowerbox. I love that.

how lovely to see blackbird energy has arrived in our forum.
I love these birds and often take sultanas into a nearby park to feed them.
They are often seen as birds of magic and the otherworlds.
I think of them as having a bardic quality too

I love them. What a beautiful range of sounds they produce, and they are so BOLD, following you round the garden as you dig, and snapping up all the worms you unearth.

blackbirds get my attention when the 'other' world is calling......they are masters of the gap and the time in between/crack in the worlds......maybe cos they eat/transmute so many poisonius fruits that would kill a horse.;)

I have 'noticed' blackbirds and crows more than normal lately. There seems to be something drawing me to them but I'm not sure what it is. I think it's crows more than blackbirds tho. We see them in the fields by us when walking the dogs. They are beautiful.

Hi, just want to ad that it is the male that has the orange colored beak, the female is dark brown or black.

Hi, we have a few Blackbirds in our garden and they are very friendly, one was caught in my conservtory one year and I talked to his spiritand he let me pick him up ,I went out side realsed him, he stood for a moment then let out a high pitch call and flew off, but he still here with the BlackBird family, he must of told the other bird Im ok:D

Its telepathic Caveman, when they come ask what message have they brought, then watch their movements and tune into them telepathically. :DIts great fun! When they have delivered there message they usually go. Also driving sometimes birds will come close to give messages.

You look to there eyes and through to the spirit of the bird or animal, they will understand you as your love flows from your heart, they know you wish them no harm, and then just talk freely.
Send the love to your dog as you look at it's picture, im shore you must have felt the presence on your bed, sorry not got a link yet. Maybe it near her birthday.

I picked a rose in my garden 2days ago and put it in a glass on the kitchen window.Looking out of the window this Morning I saw a blackbird sitting on the fence,he usually sits on the greenhouse roof warning other birds of danger. I haven,t recieved the message yet,but it will come. Rose petals are a sighn of an advanced soul, as is the smell of roses when you are travelling.

We have numerous Blackbirds visit us, even though we have cats. One of the Blackbirds, ( he's quite the old man of the bunch), has a damaged wing but still flies.........well.....we call him the " Hurdy Gurdy Birdy ", because of his call, and his singing is quite magnificent.......he's just an old friend.

Our garden is bursting at the seams with birdkind. We have a gang of blackbirds who all tolerate each other, but one (male) has got something against my car! I park it beside the garden wall, and he spends hours - literally - landing on the wall, twittering at his reflection in the car window, then launches himself at the window, sits on the roof of the car, and bashes his beak against it for a few minutes - then back to the wall. It is only my car he hates. We have tried parking my husbands car in the same position, but he ignored it - same with the daughters boyfriends car - ignored again. Put my car back in the same position, and he goes for it again...... mind you, can't say I blame him, I'm not that fond of it myself!!!
I have been followed round the garden today by the resident robin. He sat on the handle of my garden fork, waiting for worms which I threw in his direction.
We have a colony of rooks (rookery)in the woods next to the house. The RSPB recently did a count of the residents - it wasn't until then that I learnt that rooks mate for life - like swans.

For four years now I have had a pair of blackbirds nesting in my garden. One year they nested right next to the back door and fledged 3 birds. One landed in my kitchen, I scooped it up and it yelled at me, stepped outside and its mum flew at me and attacked me. I gentle tossed it into the front garden to safety!.

I am a early riser and like to stand at the backdoor and listen to the dawn chorus, wonderful.
I always throw apple cores into the garden as blackbirds love apples.

i had a blackbird 'moment' on new year's day. i was walking along about 6.30 in the morning when one flew down in front of me and hopped along in front looking back at me as i walked along (seemed to make sure i had noticed) and then flew back into the tree. cool 🙂

I have received quite a few messages from my husband since he passed telling me to watch out for the blackbirds,that he can now fly to wherever he wants to be.
Also you mentioned seeing a pet lying on the bed. I saw this a few years ago after my yorkie passed away. She was lying outstretched,paws out then disappeared after about 2 seconds. Thank you.
