Hi All,
I have only had my cards read once and then she stopped right in the middle and refused to carry on or tell me what she saw.
so I have not had them read since.
I am now doing a meditation course and one of the subject covers meditation on the tarot and I need to get some tarot cards to practice with any help would be great.
I have read that you should get some that match your personality.
well I have looked at the ones on aclectic etc. but cant find which grab me as there are so many.
I was born on Halloween and and am a very earthy person, but still cant decide which ones to go for, I would like a complete pack nut will only need the major ones for meditation
Thank you in advance for any advice
Michelle
I am sorry you had such a bad experience with the tarot reading.
But I am glad you are looking for your own. deck. My advice is to see which one your are drawn to. - and which one you can afford since some of them come in quite expensive!!
Trust your instincts. Good luck
I agree go with what feels right for you.
Would be interesting to hear more about your meditation course, as I've never come across meditation on tarot before, and I've done many different styles of meditation.
I got my tarot cards many years ago (before it was a big thing or the internet was about), but even then I went for what felt right at the time. I have the Medieval Scapini Tarot...

Interestingly, the fantasy fiction writer Piers Anthony did a lot of research into the history of tarot when he wrote his book "Tarot". Originally the publishers split this book into 3 which kind of ruined it, but eventually it was published all as one book, and the introduction to each chapter in this one-volume version, he talks about his research and what he found. From what he could gather, there is actually a whole suit missing from modern tarot decks based on what was originally created. I always fancied creating myself a real "full" set of tarot based on what he described.

Thank you Tashanie,
Yes I was a bad experience she would not tell me what she saw, just changed the subject and would not continue, I have not had a proper reading just tried the ones from facade etc, but do not know who to interpret it.
Yes I am trying to find cards that i'm dawn to but there are so many.
thank you
Energylz, thank you for replying,
The course im am doing covers everything from basic meditation, to candle, meditation, labyrinth meditation, tarot meditation, mantra meditation, and so on I am living it.
The cards you have mentioned I am going to look at now.
Thankyou both 🙂
Do not think a proper psychic would stop half way through like that, either she was having a bad day or she could not be bothered? Was she a professional who was getting paid? Surely it is worse to stop like that than to carry on and tell you something bad, as your imagination goes all over the place and gets you very worried.
I use the tarot to meditate with and think its a smashing idea for you to do that too.
Sometimes it can help you to just relax or it can help you to see things more clearly
and I find it really helps me to make decisions and focus on something. I tend to do that a few times over the one subject rather than just now and then expecting to get all of the results in one sitting. I might get a good idea of what is going on the first time, then make the decision on the second or third time.
