I had been feeling for a while that I would like to get a deck of Tarot cards, indeed I nearly bought a set in Edinburgh last Summer. But now suddenly I have acquired these Osho Zen cards and I think they are just beautiful. I am still only playing with them, getting to know them as it were. Does anyone else know/have these cards? If so, how do you find them?
Much love

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
I agree Sunanda. They are absolutely beautiful. Getting them in India - on location so to speak - must be an exciting experience.
It was my first Tarot deck too and it turned out to be so different I had to get the Raider Waite + a book to get to grips with Tarot at all. Also, in spite of its beauty I found it strangely sad. It's very "Zen". I bought it just after my initation to Reiki 2 in the autumn 2000 and I wasn't feeling very well which might account for my negative feelings though.
Haven't looked at them for a long time, maybe I should take them out and see if I get a more positive feeling for them now [&:]. Thanks for the reminder.

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
I have this deck too and I love it!
When I did my Reiki I, my Reiki master let each of us draw a card and I was blown over by the card I drew then. Just lovely! I knew then that I had to get myself a deck, which I did eventually. Best thing I ever did!

I love this deck and have had a 'wait and see' response to it for years... did a reading using someone else's set and since then, I always feel it's not the right time for me to get them. I pick them up, put them down... I think it's almost time though... 🙂
Did you know there is a good site where you can find Osho writings and get daily readings? It's . Hope the mods don't mind my putting this in...

Otter, it is strange you should say that...
It was the same with me. After I first decided that I have to have a set, it took me more than 8 years before it actually felt right for me to get it...
That is why I said, I 'eventualy' got it...
I knew I wanted it, but it took a long time before it felt that it was the right time to get it...
RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
Isn't that strange, Amber? I would say it's been about five years anyway since I first encountered these cards.

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
Hello Everyone - may I join in?
I also bought this deck about 5 or so years ago after having been drawn to Osho's teachings and doing his meditations for a while. I agree the cards are very beautiful, but I found them very hard to "penetrate" or use for readings. I soon reverted to my tied and trusted Morgan Greer deck, but often my Osho Zens's out and spend a little time getting to know them a bit more. I have a feeling they have something to tell me.
The Osho site is great isn't it? Has anyone tried his meditations?

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
Hi All
Been meaning to reply to this topic for a while, so I have a quiet moment or two lets see where it leads.
Looooooooooooooooooooooong time ago I used to do a fair number of psychic fairs large and small. Then it was as the Reiki Experience, learnt a lot, often it was what not to do that was important. So of course I met a large number of readers, sadly very few were authentic, shame really with so many in need of some kind of direction. Anyway I digress, (ALWAYS wanted to use that phrase) The other one is even as I speak, YUCK!!
What did catch my eye were the Osho cards, they just seemed right. Eventually I brought some, first thing I did was glance at the book then throw it in the trash. Strange, no not really the Osho cards are for me a means of helping another person to feel they could relax to the point where they would allow Spirit to reach them. So why did I need the teaching of another for that.
Its worth remembering that each of us is unique and the words of others (EVEN when they are authentic) can become restrictive, Why? Because they stop a person from thinking for themselves and they then become dependent on another.
I call these cards people cards, no offence but tarot cards as such have never sat right with me. On the rare occasion I do a reading it is nearly always about how the individual can move forward rather than what the future holds, bearing in mind of course that the future has not been written yet.
Do people pick the cards they are meant to? Yup seemed to every time. So now and again they are removed from their box so that someone can be assisted.

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
Dear all
Thanks so much for your replies. Funnily enough when I was repacking my bags to come to the beach (see my postcard in General Discussions) I decided that I didn't have room for the cards so, like with many of you, they are 'waiting' for me. I really don't imagine that I will ever 'read' for anyone else, but I fell in love with the pictures and will let it all develop at its own pace.
Much love

RE: Osho Zen Tarot cards
Yep love them but the amount of times I have nearly ripped up the thunderbolt card ha ha
Lost the love card so no woman for me ha ha
But if I want a truthful reading that is not all lovely dove they are grate and accrete and tell you what space you are in and what’s coming up and freaks me out how good they are at times
It’s a bit of a love hate relation ship with them they some times tell me what I don’t want to know but in that if I want the truth or how it is what’s the point of having cards and why I respect them and use them the power they hold is awesome
And in that I love them for they tell you how it is
But again I read the cards not the book and they talk to me and in that every one will read them different for your guilds are not the same as mine
Have fun with them and don’t take them to serially as I do at times ha ha
