Hi all,
I thought it might be a nice idea to start a little thread where we could post our own or favourite Tarot spreads 🙂

I'm always on the look out for new ones to try. There are some good ones around, but also some pretty dire ones too.
So let's look at what works for us or what looks as though it might!

I'll start of with this one...I'm sure I'll be posting more!

*Moving Forwards Spread*

This short three card spread is good to use when we or our clients feel as though they are in something of a "rut" and need to find a way forward. I have no idea who designed this as it was passed to me by a good friend who reads the Tarot too.

1. Where you are now. (This may refer to mental, emotional or physical aspects/situations)

2. What Keeps you there.

3. How can you move forward.

I've found that this can sometimes be a good small spread to begin a more extended and detailed reading.

Hope you like this 🙂

What a great thread.... I was only looking this morning for a different spread other than "the Celtic Cross" - I did find one that was called the "H" spread..

1. Head
2. Heart
3.Hands( Skills)
4. Home
5. Hopes

(6 Optional Outcome)

This obviously as a general or first reading to start with.

There are so many about.. I could never remember them all. rofl....

Just had this one passed on to me by a good friend 😎

It could be used for many purposes, but in this instance, it was relating to "financial affairs."

Card 1 - Opportunities to look for
Card 2 - Obstacles to look out for
Card 3 - How can I help myself?
Card 4 - How can I help others?
Card 5 - How can I make the best of my situation?
Card 6 - Message from the Tarot

Obviously Tarot spreads should not substitute sound professional finanacial advice!

I have always found that the best spreads are those which you devise yourself from being in communication with your own guides. I try not to use a set format and use my intuition as to where to put the cards for the person I am reading for. Everyone is different and therefore each spread can be slightly different in the way you lay it out. This is probably not helpful to those who like things to be structured but it is good to think outside the box now and again.

When I do the tarot, I just ask wht is going on around the person at the moment, I shuffle the cards, and see if any fall out, if not, I will pull the cards.. I dont go into the past unless I feel the need to do so, as in most cases people are more concernede with the here and now, and a glimps into the future..

sometimes I will do a celtic cross

This one is for the animal lovers who have two (obviously pampered pets)

2. What is animal 2 trying to tell you?
3. What is animal 1 feeling?
4. What is animal 2 feeling?
5. What is the main issue between the 2 animals?
6. What can you do to help solve the issue?
7. Advice/Outcome

I havent tried it yet.....has anyone else????

Whilst I have been learning the William Blake tarot cards.... all these ideas keep popping into my head, and one of them was a "heart" spread... so start with card one, then each card following that top left, then left, then bottom left, then under, then bottom right, right, and top right, which is 8 cards in total. So it symbolises a heart shape.

The meanings are:

Card 1 - Current situation
Card 2 - Past thoughts
Card 3 - Past actions
Card 4 - Past outcome
Card 5 - New thoughts
Card 6 - New actions
Card 7 - New outcome
Card 8 - Future

Hope that makes sense!!
