Hi Eamonn,

I am so sorry to hear about your depression. I don't know about 'spirits' possessing people, since I believe that humans are inherently good and bad, and that's about individual personality.

You say that you take on this 'demonic' persona after a few drinks. What co-incided four years ago, with the depression and the causal drinking? This may be a spiritual matter, and something that can be eased by spiritual healing, but if (like my brother has) a disposition to becoming a demon when drunk, this is a human trait, not a case of 'possession.'

If you are a medium (which I believe you are) then the practice of linking and being around low-level spirit energy without having had any instruction might have affected you. If so, you'll need some training in how to handle these energies properly, so that they don't interfere with your life.

Also, I would strongly suggest that you cut down on the drinking sessions. That causes more upsets, despair and family break-ups than anything else I know of. Drinking 'feeds' the lower order, and makes the situation worse.

I have been a medium for 15 years (check my profile) and have seen this type of thing before. Yes, healing will do you good Eamonn, but you also need to know how to work with higher energies to alleviate the lower ones.

Lower doesnt necessarily mean bad or wrong just as drinking isnt necessarily bad or wrong. Its just that things like drinking attract people who dont like to think for themselves so it gets a bad rep when people like this, drink and run a muck where they express all the things they held inward.

One who learns themself can seemingly control all things....even something such as drinking.

I think Patsy / songstress has put most eloquently the things I'd most like to have said (!). Do beware of people who talk about you having a dark or evil anything within you. Messages from enlightened sources are never couched in such gloomy terms and have never in my experience been given secondhand, as it were.

The only thing I'd add is that alcohol, like many drugs, weakens your aura (the protective energy field around you) and allows you to sense and maybe empathise with energies around you that normally you would choose to keep at arm's length. This weakening has been proved by Kirlian photography (a Google search will tell you plenty about that). Most things might seem better if you have a lot to drink, but they ain't!!

I'm sure you'll get this sorted out quickly enough and look forward to seeing you around on HP.

Hi Eamonn

one of the most important things we were taught straight away at our development circle was to put a cloak of love and protection over ourselves whenever we felt threatened or under psychic attack.
Do a simple meditation and imagine walking into a monastery or spiritual building, then ask for your cloak. Imagine the colour, fabric and trim of your cloak and feel it slipping down over your body, covering every single part of you. Thank the guides and inspirers before you leave the temple, and then trust that every time you mentally ask for your cloak it will be given to you immediately.
Also, imagine pulling your aura close to you and tight to your body so you cannot pick up negative vibes, only open your aura once you have protected yourself and the room and are ready to tune in to spirit. Always ask for the highest and brightest, and also ask for a band of gold protection to come around the room to keep negative energy away.

There are people out there who remove evil spirits from people, I know of one myself who channels them (quite alarmingly sometimes), however I have always trusted that no evil spirits can possess me, and although there have been many times when I have come in contact with bad spirits, they have never harmed or affected me.

Hi redwine,
well to make sure that its not an external energy force that is affecting you, you can do 3 things!
1. Cleanse yourself.
2. Bind yourself with positive energy.
3 Flood your home with positive energy to send and keep negative energy out.

If you goto the site in my signature and look in the menu for development, you will find how to do these three things.
