RE: Let's talk colours

Hi Wendy, another lovely thread.

I love Lilac, and blue, and violet. I also love red, and pink. Can't stand orange. Love green outside the home but not inside. I mostly ear silver jewellry or opals of a turqouise shade, or amber.

Love Gillyxxxx

RE: Let's talk colours

Hmm this is a tough one my favourite colour has to be blue not navy blue, but a light blue or the electric/metallic kind of blue.

i love lots of colours for different reasons ie clothes colours, car colours, wall colours... i just choose the colour that expresses my mood for that day. My wardrobe used to be full of blue and black but recently i decided on a change and now have a nice rainbow of clothes 😀 green and yellow being my favourite at the moment....

RE: Let's talk colours

Hello Wendy,

I LOVE colour!! When I was younger my wardrobe consisted of black and white. Since starting my spiritual path my wardrobe now looks like a rainbow!. I love pastel shades of pink/blue/lilac. I wear a lot of lilac/lavender/white. I have a client who absolutely insists that when she has a Reiki treatment she 'sees' me standing in front of her and I am all lilac! (I never stand in front of my clients, I work from behind and the sides). Even when I am wearing other colours she still sees me as lavender!.

I am now being drawn to turqoise (like a few others it seems!). When I attended a colour healing workshop run by Kim a few years ago she tested my chakra's to check if they were open. When she got to my throat area she told me that there was another chakra opening! She said it was the chakra for the immune system and that its colour is turqoise and that this was beginning to open on more and more people. She thought it was coming in to use now as the medicines we were using now would not work in the future so our immune systems were about to be boosted.

Since then my ancient cat(she's now 19yrs old) sits on my lap and 'plugs' her two front paws on that area (just below the hollow of my throat) and sits watching something going on in that area! I truly believe she is getting her own immune system 'powered''up every time she does this.

Love and light

RE: Let's talk colours

Oooo, this looks like fun...
Colour I work with the colour rays...calling them in when I do a 'healing treatment' Rainbow Reiki for example, and of course Crystals...like most people I am very aware of how colour affects us...and I seem to be wearing alot of black and reds just lately...'grounding colours' didn't work yesterday ~ I was away with the [sm=sandrine.gif]fairies for most of it...
I love orange and yellow ... love to see green in nature, but need to be careful of the shade if wearing it...not to keen on blue's, I do have some in my wardrobe and am told it suits me...but hmmm, not so sure on that one and pink is a definate no-no for me[:-]
I see alot of purples and yellows when having my 'quite moments' (meditation) or when receiving healing...

Thank you Lightwinds for this thread...

RE: Let's talk colours

The colour I am drawn to most is blue - most shades. I also tend towards nature colours - anything that's outside -from a grey cloudy day to a fantastic vivid red sunset, pale to green seas' - my house is mainly creams, ivory's, coffee, biscuit colours with bits of olive and wood thrown in. Am going to have a look on the links above and see what they all mean.

Hi Lightwinds!!

I love strong bright colors next to black and white. These colors include bright orange, red, pink, torquoise, and green. Im not a fan of light blues or pastel colors. I'll usually where these colors with either black pants or white, to tone them down. Any definition for me? 😀

RE: Let's talk colours

Whow you lot are fast:D, Will put up a few colors first and you can see
For those who are draw to The Blue Spectrum.

Sky Blue or Robin's Egg Blue.
This shade of blue symbolizes Hope and Divine Assurance. Many paintings and sculptures of the Virgin Mary depict her with a Sky Blue Robe. Sky blue indicates the preparation for a new existence or new things in one's life. It also represents the healing of possessive tendencies and a passionless love[&:]. Sky Blue is the color of the 5th Chakra Center commmonly referred to as the "Throat Chakra." It rules communication, creativity, and healing.
To the ancient cultures, which came centuries before the advent of Christianity and who worship the Mother Goddess, the priest and priestesses depicted their Goddess wearing a Sky Blue cloak as well. As a way to incorporate the ancient belief systems of converts to Christianity, the early church "borrowed" the idea of depicting the Virgin Mary wearing a Sky Blue robe.
This shade of Blue is also the symbol of Spring and new growth.

MEDIUM BLUE
This color indicates Serenity, Balance, and Blessings. It also indicates the subconscious and the flow of life, the Emotional and Mental Bodies are in balance within the individual. Blue is the color of Infinity and infinite peace.

SAPPHIRE BLUE
The presence of this color shows that the emotional nature has matured, become more purified. It is the symbol of the Higher Mind. Sapphire Blue is a color which promise substance and expansion. On a more advanced level, Sapphire Blue, especially when prominent in dreams or meditations, represents Mastery over the Ten Commandments.

PALE BLUE
This partiicular shade of blue indicates an emotional and mental distance from the frenzy of life. When this color appears it represents a mental attitude of willingness to deal with karmic situations in an impersonal manner. The ego is not in control, the individual has moved beyond the ego and its emotional fears. There is a neutrality or open-mindedness in dealing with karmic situation ehich occur and have subtle influences on the individual's life.

AQUA"BLUE-GREEN".
To better describe this color, I suggest thet you visualize the sea or ocean on a sunny day; perhaps as it surrounds one of the tropical islands. The Aqua or Blue-Green,(sometimes referred as "Peacock Blue"as well), is such a beauiful color for the ocean that it dosen't seem real when you first see it. The sea itself represents the womb of all life. It is rich, nurturing, and filled with unseen wonders. This color sybolizes the limitess bounty of Nature, of the Feminine aspects of the Creator.
It is a color of joy and happyness, a color of love and security.

NAVEY BLUE
This color indicates stern control over the emotions Detachment and Disciplined thoughts are also represented by this color. Confidence and Assurance, as well as a no-nonsense approach to life are the attitudes symbolized by this color because this is a color which inspires and represents Authority. Navey Blue is ruled by the planet Saturn which is seen by as the planet of challenge and karma, but is also seen by others as the planet of Limitation and Restriction, representing an uncaring force which puts obstacles in their path. Too much Navey Blue can cause feelings of isolation, of being too controlled or narrow-nature, not allowing this Higher Source to have an input or influence us. There is also fear of too much emotionalism inherent in the color Navey Blue which allows the repressive tendencies of this color to gain strengh of expression.

PURPLE OR INDIGO
This is the color of the 6th Chakra Center, commonly called the "Brow Chakra". It represents intuition, higher consciousness, the Christ Mind. It is a raw electric color, indicating karmic voltage,(the sowing of karma), tenderness ans selfless love. It is the color of the Spiritual Life, the color of releasing, of letting go and letting God. this is the color of a Seeker.

Well that the blue....will do so more in a while....but like to hear what you think.
love and b

RE: Let's talk colours

😮 Question????

If I get rid of the navey blue that surounds me will that in turn get rid of the negativities asociated with navey blue????

Navey Blue is ruled by the planet Saturn which is seen by as the planet of challenge and karma, but is also seen by others as the planet of Limitation and Restriction, representing an uncaring force which puts obstacles in their path. Too much Navey Blue can cause feelings of isolation, of being too controlled or narrow-nature

Its that bit that seems to ring true with me, and I wondered if I got rid of it would it make a difference??

Hi lightwinds

If you would be so kind as to just glance a little to your left - that's it, you've got it! - I'd love to know the meaning of the deep pink of my Avatar. I'm not sure what to call it, I guess Fuchsia Pink is the nearest, and I wear it a lot, with lippy to match! 😀

Thanks.

RE: Let's talk colours

She change it again, hawkwind seem's you aged abit.

Hopefull, how abou trying this color around you...Amber This color absorbs negative energy and tranforms it. It is a healing color and has the ability to stabilize energy fields. It is also the color of Good- luck and prosperity. Another unique quality of this color is it's ability to draw dis-ease or negative energy away from an individual. Amber is the color of the "LIFE-Force", or "prana" energy. Try wearing a little Amber .
