My name on here is Indigo, which is actually my daughters name. I just thought of it when I was pregnant with her and really liked it. We called her Romy when she was born but I was desperate to call her indigo so we changed it, despite my hubby's initial hesitance. Now she is nn'd Indy and we love it! We have called our healing business indigo healing.

I do not have a spirit name, I have never been given one, but it would be interesting. I love the way Derek Acorah got his name given from spirit and actually changed it properly.

The use of our log in names has come up many a time..but not the use of spirital names...interesting
I beleive mine is most likely one of the same storm...because I just love storms and deva as in spirit...I'm also known as RainbowSpirit 😀

Tell you the truth i don't know why i chose this name, i suppose it chose me really, ~ I love nature and birds especially but ohh when i see a hawk or buzzard, they are just so beautifull , must tell you got up this morning 5.30am came downstairs house is all quiet and i can here the dawn chorus , 🙂 i love it it is my most fave time of the day, and right outside my back garden there are a couple of huge old oak trees which is why we get a lot of birds in the garden, and singing his heart out this morning is a beautifull song thrush, so i am now sipping my green tea with all the doors open listening to him while i am typing this, ~ Heaven.:)

Well I wanted something that shouted out at me and said "HEY THAT SOUNDS LIKE ME!!" And I thought that TreaturSpirit was perfect. It is actually Treat Your Spirit, as in treat your spirit kindly and take car of it and it will take care of you. I sign Treaty because it sounds cute [sm=kiss.gif]. I, as you can tell, am all about your innerself and love with everything you do. 🙂

My name on here angelic just came to me really quickly think it was from my guardian angels lol very appropriate!!!! lol They used their name in it lol!!!! I just love the ring to it.

Mmmmm...my names....
Well my dad called me Grub as a baby as he said I looked like a little maggot!
And the faerie part just sort of came to me as I was walking thru the woods and felt at one with the nature spirits. The two names just sort of gelled together as I like beetles and larvae, and my faithful steed is a stag beetle when I'm in faery form. Together we like to "grub" around in the earth and woods and anywhere else outside! Over the years this has stuck and I've probably grown into my name as much as it has changed to fit me.[sm=sandrine.gif]

I chose Wiccawillow as my log in here because I'm wiccan and I'm Buffy mad! My spiritual name is Severina and it's the name of a song by The Mission and the song came out at the time I was first waking up to my spirituality. It just seemed too appropriate so that's why I chose it!

Mine is a little pedestrian so I don't know if I should be embarrassed to say....

When I was expecting my second child I went to Venice with my husband... as we searched the streets for our hotel I couldn't keep up (which is such a contrast to my usual leading role) so he said, in a laughing tone, 'Come along, Lazyhoss'.

Even though I was exhausted, it still made me laugh, and while I wouldn't say that it was a description of who I am, its enough to raise a smile to my lips and possibly inspre me to achieve better things

Adding my two cents.

I dont know why but when I found this healthypages forum I just felt safe in using my actual spiritual name as my user name. I felt that most everyone on here was good at heart and I instantly trusted you all.

For a long time I didnt even know if I had a name, even when my spiritual life was at its peak I still only knew myself as variable. I was given my name just before my 23rd birthday which was funny because that date was 02-23-2003 and I was turning 23. Im a believer in omens and say this as one way beforehand because it seemed as though everything was coming together somehow.

I was going to start a thread aking the same question!!

I have been thinking about having a spiritual name added onto my current one; it would be too weird to change the whole thing after 16 years of being called Fiona. It would be weird for my family too, and they might take offence that I wanted to change the name they gave me when I was born.

I have always liked the name Freya, especially because of Goddess Freya, the mythological Norse Goddess of love and beauty, youth and fertility. She is considered very sympathetic, especially to lovers and matters of the heart....sounds like me!!

Hmm. Fiona Freya what? Any suggestions?

Freyona, thats actually a rather good suggestion, knowing her root names makes it a bit humorous to the ears but to call someone freyona, that sounds nice. You should think about that azalia

If anything I was going to say that Freya sounds so similar in general to Fiona that it might catch on quick with the Fam

Oh gosh, In some ways I would dearly love to be called azalia, it really resonates with me. But I think it would be very strange now I'm used to Fiona. I'm still thinking about it though....How long does it take to change your name and get it registered? Can you change your surname?

Azalia is a lovely name. So is Fiona. The choice is yours, but if you want to change your first name, officially, I believe it is quite complicated, but can be done. A friend of mine changed her "christened" name to that of her Native American Indian totem animal.

Changing a surname is simpler - by deed poll, I believe, but I don't know just how you do it. Lots of divorced women change their names back to their maiden name this way.

If you try a Google search on "azalia plant latin meaning" you'll find links to a number of tropical locations, which may or may not be useful.

When I was a little girl I had a cat called Freya, named after the intrepid traveller Freya Stark. But Freyona - I think I agree with you on that one! [&o]

Hmmm, spiritual name? I've ALWAYS wanted to change my name, but Azelia made a good point, maybe I should just add ONTO my current name. I was given the name Emily, by my parents, 22 years ago. I, however, would like to have a tribal name, to represent my ancestors of a Native American Tribe in New York, but I also would like a name that represents my soul, as well. Mine will come to me one day

My name came to me in a meditation a few years ago. Heartsong means song in my heart because I sing...and singing connects me to my heart and spirit.
