Somehow I knew I'd be picking your brains soon

I've been trying to develop me aura seeing capabilities over the last few months. I have a friend who is progressing on the journey with me (though she is more inclined towards healing rather than seeing) so I practice seeing her aura most days.

Basically, in contrast to the books, what I get is a background aura of pink/purple, which goes over her in waves. In between the waves , sometimes moving into her head, though on at least one occasion to one side of her, are waves of gold tinged with dark green.

Never have I seen an oval shape around her, though I guess I have seen a circular shape , moving in towards her. I don't know if the descriptions given in books are misleading, or whether there's some other reason, but the aura I see is constantly moving and changing, enough so I couldn't possibly draw it as layers, as is so frequently portrayed.

Another feature I now see frequently is a sort of rippling effect further above her head. I first saw this after we had asked our angels to make themselves known, and now I frequently see them when I meditate (which is great as I can say hello and thank you!) I wore angelite for the first time yesterday, balanced on a hematite necklace that I happened to be wearing, and saw the ripples around the edge of my vision, around me. Pretty special!.

I don't know if this rings any bells with you - I'd love some feedback please

Hi Lajos,

A healthy "calm" aura would surround the whole of a human being and extend for several feet. An outline of our bodies is generally an oval shape - hence the "oval" lookout. When you first start seeing auras you may only detect certain colours and see only certain areas eg. heads and shoulders are common starter points.

You are definately seeing auras - and as you have seen auras are as different as people!!

Ok, aura's an authority on them I most certainly am not...I work with the energies of the aura, more than see it...although that has begun to happen slowly but surely:) I do know however, that the aura is always changing...it's affected by our moods & health therefore it is never going to remain the same colour(s) etc;
I think you have a wonderful gift may you use it well, and I look forward to your postings regarding your progress...walk with the light

Saw something quite amazing when reading my friend's aura today.

Before we started, we had been discussing her private life, and whether she would ultimately end up with her current man (which for various reasons I can't go into, will not be possible for at least another 5 or so years).

I decided to ask our angels if they could give me a sign that this would come about - I specifically asked for a sign I had never seen before, thinking it might be an orb or something.

Well, After a few minutes of getting colour (the usual bluy/pink background alternating with gold/green focussing upon her)and rippling (showing our angels wanted to show they were present) I caught a little lightening flash/spark out of the corner of my eye!

Knowing we sometimes miss messages until our angels have to practically kick us up the pants with the obvious, I asked for a second sign, to show that the first one was real (Doh!) - within another few minutes, a little spark appeared above her head - WOW!

Our angels are probably relieved that we finally got it, this time relatively easily! You wouldn't believe how much work they have to put in to steer us through life - its only afterwards that you think "Oh, thats why I did that", when you can just imagine your guide saying 'About time too!'

I can't say I distinguish between guides and angels - I talk to them all the same. There's obviously someone(or more than one) looking after me or I wouldn't have survived all the scrapes I have- and I've been in more than I care to remember! Its just nice to be able to say thank you at last!

Angels show them selves in many ways and forms

a white feather
a hued glow
a serene sence and a feeling of peace over comming you
becoming hot and a feelign that you know some one is there this feeling is hard to explain as to veryone here it be different.

You obviously know what I mean

Its a certain 'knowing' that there is someone right next to you, with your greatest interests at heart, trying to lead you to your greatest potential.

I can see the attraction of religion when I consider how someone who believes in a 'God' who looks after them might feel - I can't quite get my head around an all seeing being taking a personal interest in each and every one of us - but it makes perfect sense that 'angels' or 'spirit guides' lead us to where we need to be, protecting us when they can along the way. After all, its only what I am doing for my kids every day.

As for perceptions of them, again I agree that we probably have our own individual perception, if we chose to see it. It took me a long time to realise that the ripply experiences I had over the years were actually more than just 'occurances' with no explanation. It actually took me acknowledging their presence and asking for their help when feeling ill before I realised exactly what they are. For someone who isn't able to see them in this way, I'm sure they would make themselves apparent in some way that makes sense to you.

I'm sure my guides, whether they be angels or whatever (it doesn't actually matter to me what or who they are - they feel warm and friendly and that is all that I care about) will lead or steer me to whatever my potential is. At the moment, I'm open to everything, trying everything( from auras to crystal to reiki to tarot to runes....need I go on!), which I'm sure is why I keep being drawn to protective crystals. I am confident that I will find my way eventually, and I hope that you will support me as I do (& strangely enough, I know you all will!)
