Not sure where to post this but trying to work out what went on...

On Saturday, I woke up feeling a bit groggy, then late afternoon I started developing a headache which throbbed behind my eyes. I decided to just put up with it, but after watching Dr Who, as I had to pop to Tesco, I decided to take a whole Panadol (as it just wouldn't break in half and I couldn't be bothered to use a knife), as it was quite a heavy throb at the back of my head. It eventually went at about the time the Pope died (2037, GMT).

Interesting points...
-I NEVER get headaches
-Reiki had no effect on it (did it for half an hour), and it usually has some sort of positive effect when I have a pain of some sort
-I never take painkillers so half would have been more than enough to remove pain, but a whole Panadol didn't do anything for about an hour
-I'm a practicing Catholic
-I'm trying to develop my psychic ability (naughty me)

Strange, eh?

I kinda figured that my background meant that I was tuning into the billion or so other catholics' anguish and concern, and once the Pope had died there was a certain relief that he was no longer suffering.

What do you guys think?

RE: Headache/The Pope!?

I think it's perfectly possible, Darren, and I am not a Catholic. The Pope was a man who was greatly loved, admired and respected, as tributes from all over the world and many denominations bear witness.

Because he was also an old man, and had been in failing health for some years, everyone knew that his passing over was imminent, so there may well have been a mass consciousness, a picking up of feelings. Please don't misunderstand me ... in no way is this meant to make any less of the fact that your church has just lost its leader, and his successor is not yet known. Perhaps because you are a Catholic, that intensified the feeling.

I recall thinking what a peaceful evening it was ... and that was before I turned on the TV and heard the news. There were several reports of how peaceful and quiet it was in St Peter's Square.

Hi, I'm just curious as to why you think "naughty me" to developing your psychic gifts!

Hi Darren, I know exactly what you're talking about! Although I didn't suffer with a headache as you, I did suddenly get a really dry throat - so bad that I couldn't swallow and hubby had to get me some water. Once I could speak again, I said "The Pope's died". And sure enough, he had. This was at 8:40pm. Strange! [&:]

So I understand your experience. It's strange how we can pick up on these things, not quite got my head around it yet!!

Gosh how we'll miss him:(

Love and light,
Louise

I don't think I'm naughty at all, but I'm sure my parish priest would frown upon the idea that I am trying to achieve this! (I accept that not everyone will agree or encourage me to do what I want to do, that's all.)

Thanks for the response Darren, yes, I'm quite sure your parish priest wouldn't like the idea too much. Such a shame that the gifts God gave us have been surpressed by those in religious organisations, but thankfully the plan is divine, and the truth will always prevail.

A friend said he heard a voice, "Who among you will care for the lost souls?" then instantly heard that the pope had died. Evidently the pope was speaking to him. Anyone else hear the same message? I'm sure it wasn't directly for my friend but put out into the universe for people to pick up with their intuition.

Hi all,

I thought I would just add.... I'm not a christian but I had a "strange feeling" over me and said to my husband.... turn Sky on and check out the news I think the Pope is dead.... I just felt all funny and just had a feeling it was linked?

RE: Headache/The Pope!?

This is marvelous, the amount of people who had that "feeling" that something had happened around the time of the Popes death. I to had that at 8pm and watched Sky until his death was announced but knew that he had died at 8.40 even though it was some time before they actually announced it.

I too am not a catholic but thought that in the Pope we had a tremenously spiritual man. My friend who has "seen" him twice, when he was in Ireland and then again when he came to England, said that he had an aura about him that made her feel that she was indeed in the presence of a great man.

Both my daughter and I for two will miss him even though we had nothing to do with him at all and had never met him. theres just something in his passing that has left a hole that will be very difficult to fill.
