Hi
I wonder if someone could help to explain an occurence in my bedroom 2 nights ago?

A while ago, I bought a second hand wardrobe, that night and for several after, I saw something I can only describe as neon ribbons floating in the air, going up and over the wardrobe. We moved the wardrobe, the neon ribbons floated over there instead. This stopped after a couple of weeks, and I am guessing that this was a wardrobe that had belonged to someone who recently died, the spirit came with the wardrobe, but when the spirit realised that I would look after the wardrobe (or otherwise settled into the new environment) it went away. The ribbons where twirling in and out of each other as if being stirred slowly in water, and were usually blue, but I remember pink at some stage, and I think green.

However, two nights ago, I was having trouble sleeping, I opened my eyes to see a shape over near the end of the bed, coming from the direction of the wardrobe, which is near the door to the hallway, which was shut. I thought I had a blurry eye, so blinked a few times, but the shape floated like a bubble would, toward me and my husband. When it got above my husbands head, I screamed and panicked, freaked my husband out, fumbled for the light, when I turned it on the shape had gone.

The shape was grey, smooth, and shaped like maybe an elongated bubble, but appeared to be solid. I can come up with no explanation for this "thing", so please could someone tell me what it could be, and if we should be worried or not. The neons made me nervous, but they were usually moving away, this shape seemed to come for us. I felt absolute terror.

This has really worried me, so any help anyone can offer would be very gratefully received.

PS When I saw the neons this was in a different bedroom, we have changed to another room, in which my son once saw a black figure standing behind him in the mirror. This was before we owned the wardrobe. My son and I have also had other experiences, both in our house and away from it, so could we be sensitive to spirits?

RE: Advice on what appeared in my bedroom!

hello Miss Maybe - I have had a little experience in this myself, having moved into a haunted flat many years ago, and eventually having to have the place blessed by a priest who was expert in moving on trapped spirits. You and your son indeed sound as if you have a degree of natural psychic' sensitivity. The second hand wardrobe you bought sounds as if it has some unpleasant energy attached to it.....you could either simply get rid of it, or get it cleared by a priest - or these days there are plenty of healers or space clearing consultants who could do it for you. I don't know what area you are in, but here are two specialists I can personally recommend as being sound - [link= http://www.fengshui-living.com/space_clearing.htm ]Sylvia Bennett[/link] & [link= http://www.gentlepowers.com/index.asp ]Elizabeth Brown[/link].
....in the meantime, stay calm if you have any further experiences - fear is the only enemy. Imagine surrounding yourselves in an impenetrable protective bubble and use a simple banishing prayer to send the approaching energy on its way.
sending you love and healing energy to give you strength. Doq x

You might try smudging your entire place with sage. They should sell special bundles of it in metaphysical type shops. Be careful not to set off the smoke alarms, though! I do that every so often and it really lightens the energy.

I like smudge sticks for personal aura clearing, and sometimes for rooms - however my main use is before and after workshops, and I find there is often someone attending who reacts adversely to the smoke - therefore I prefer Stannard energy chimes for clearing. However, in Miss Maybe's case I suspect she will need to take stronger action than either of these 2 methods [sm=eeeK.gif]

My only advice to you would be to get rid of the wardrobe.

Whatever it is, is definitely connected to it, so just get rid of it.

Hi Miss Maybe,

I am also new in this great website. My advice is to burn Sage incense to clear away negative energy such as unsettled spirits. It is not advisable to buy second hand items as they always carry negative energy, which can be very distressing for some.

When you mention that your son saw a dark figure from behind him, there is a possibility that the house do carry negative entities as well.

The best thing is to have the house blessed by a Roman Catholic Priest and explain to him what you have told us on this forum. I personally think that if it allows you to see it and you don’t feel any good about it, then it is not a good spirit towards you. Don’t let it torment you. Ask your Guardian Angels for light to protect you. Good luck. Do visualise white light around u and the house when you can.

I may be being dense here, but why does it have to be a Roman Catholic priest?

Hi, Memphis

Because i would know that catholic priest usually perform the holy rites which normally clears unsettled spirits. it doesn't cost anything. Whether its a new home or experiencing things that are unpleasing. Or if you dont want to, you can pay for other spiritual services which can clear the problem. I dont think that you have to become a catholic just have faith in god to clear the problem.

If it is not tormenting you, then just ignore it. But personally i wouldn't like to acknowledge sprits, strange happenings in my apartment remember negative energy can effect negative outcome of living space e.g bad luck.

As i have researched little by little about this phenomenom. I have understood that the reason why these strange happenings occur is because they are usually people who have passed away (earth bound spirits) which cannot enter the kindom of god or a higher plain of existence. This is due to the fact that they dont want to move on yet until they have solve whatever they have left behind. This is also related to feelings of confusion, letting go, unable to see light etc....

So far i have reached this conclusion about why these things happen. Some can be tormenting and some can be a friend depending how you really feel about it.

As i have many hobbies and interests i do consider knowing more about this phenomenom. It is interesting-but i dont have time for it at the moment.

One last thing, do you know anything about angels and spirit guides? I am certain that it may not be your guides since our guides communicate with us differently and intuitively. What has appeared to you may be a dark side an unsettled force. Therefore catholism religion have the power to exorcise these unwanted spirits which do not belong to the kingdom god therefore they are afraid of holy rites and holy waters perform by priest.

Good luck. Let me know what ever happens.

RE: Advice on what appeared in my bedroom!

Hello Jade,

Umm....I don't want to offend anyone's religion here, but sometimes having an RC priest doing an exorcism can sometimes make things a lot worse. Nobody wants to hear themselves described as 'an evil spirit.' Ghosts are people who once lived, and for the most part, are trapped. If a ghost didn't believe in God before death, it isn't going to after death. I once attended an RC exorcism and I was frightened by the priest hollering about evil spirits and 'going to the place appointed for them.' Blimey! If I was scared, I hate to think of how the ghost might have felt. And this was a spirit of a little girl, too! How about some respect?

It is for this reason why priests, vicars and other holy men end up getting things chucked at them during exorcisms. They don't know how to handle ghosts, and most people who live in haunted houses are ignorant of what a ghost is.

The best way of dealing with ghosts is to find out why they are there in the first place, and know what you are dealing with. Research the house and find out who might be haunting it, why the ghost is there, and if it had any religious background. Bringing in an RC priest is useless if the ghost was a Hindu in life! Always research first - very important before attempting any sort of exorcism. Shouting and ringing bells in ignorance are only going to frighten it. Speaking softly and listening, and treating the ghost as if it were still a living being, is by far the better way fo dealing with it. In the hauntings I have dealt with, I only had 1 failure, and that was because the ghost refused point blank to leave. In that circumstance, the householder either has to move or learn to live with it.

I am not slating anyone's religious practices, but being careful and showing a ghost some respect is going to work quicker and easier than if someone goes in 'gung ho.'

Love,
Patsy.

RE: Advice on what appeared in my bedroom!

Hello Miss Maybe,

Sounds like you have brought in a spirit when you brought in your wardrobe. Was it a second-hand wardrobe? A friend of mine had a very scary experience following a purchase of a second-hand piano. One must be very careful about buying second-hand furniture.

Someone said that you need to get rid of the wardrobe. I'd agree with that. The ghost is attached to this piece of furniture and will always be. Don't pass it on to anyone else. If you can, break it up and burn it; otherwise, arrange for the Council to collect it. I am not suggesting that this spirit is evil, it is more likely attached to the furniture because it 'knew' it in life, that's all. By destroying the wardrobe, the ghost will move on because its attachment will have gone.

Your 'bubble' ghost - sounds like someone in your family has brought him in, too. They attach themselves to mediumistic people, in the hope they'll be released to the 'light.' They can form in different shapes because of the energy required to form in human shape. Don't be worried, it's looking for release. Next time you see it, say, 'Please go to the light and leave us in peace.' Leave it at that and see what happens. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to shout or scream at it. It'll frighten it and make the situation worse. Speak to it as if it were a 'real' person.

Love,
Patsy.

Hi patsy,

You were wise for giving in another good answer to miss maybe. I agree to some extent. But what if the strange happenings got even worser i.e torment. A little girl is fine but what if it was a past murderer who is trapped aswel.

Now i'm not jumping to any conclusions but sometimes possession takes place and can be an ordeal. I have mention earlier that it can be a friend or unfriendly spirit! depends on how miss maybe feels about it, which is the main concern to this underlying problem.

RE: Advice on what appeared in my bedroom!

Hi Jade,

Yes, I understand what you are saying. My feeling is that all entities should be treated with respect, forgiveness and love, and it is these positive qualities that are going to move it on, even if the spirit may have been a murderer. Murders usually take place in the midst of high emotion, and often remorse follows, and that high emotional state can keep a spirit earthbound. Saying that it is 'evil' doesn't help - it just reinforces the ghost's belief that 'I have done a wicked thing, someone is saying I'm evil, and I am not fit to move on into the light.' That is terribly cruel. Nobody is denied the love of spirit - it's just a matter of guiding the unfortunates towards the light.

I personally don't believe that demons, etc are real, rather that they are figments of religious dogma designed to account for peoples' humanity. However, there are those who do, and in any case of 'possession' it is wise to consider the person's state of health before stating that someone is 'possessed.'

I agree that before undertaking any sort of exorcism/clearance, one must be absolutely sure about what one is dealing with.

Love,
Patsy.

I PM'd Miss Maybe about her problem and I set about clearing the wardrobe and the house and family. She sent me a message a couple of days ago to say that the problem had gone and hadn't returned.

I don't want to say for sure if this is true, but i have heard that sometimes, a negative energy is not always a person that has lived before.
Sometimes it can be an accumilation of negative energies that has intelligence. I think these are called 'divas'.

I could be wrong, i'm no expert!

RE: Advice on what appeared in my bedroom!

Hi...Many years ago...I bought a huge bundle of old vintage clothing. purses, crocheted items..from the home of a woman who had passed on years earlier. I learned from her grandsons she died lonely an and alchoholic...I could tell she was a special person because of the items she had..I carted them back home..and put them in a large pile in the living room...I went out and returned later..as I was dressing to go to dinner...every time I passed the bundle..I felt heat..sensed anger..and perceived a red aura around the items..I left..went to dinner w/ spiritual friend..he returned with me and immediately felt what I felt...he said we should pray , meditate..and talk to her spirit..let her know we understood her pain...and cared...told her I would cherish her things and take care of them...after probably 20 minutes. of communing..all negative energy ceased...POOF..gone...I still have those items..and thoughtfully remember her...when I see them...after 20 years.Maybe this will help..Peace.

Well I would just invite the spirit in to the house as your wardrobe is ours the house is yours to
welcome and live with me for some time
And send love to the spirit and show him or it to the light and say its your choice but you are very welcome here and love your company

Love to all here and in spirit you are all welcome around my energy
when you meet these lost souls and talk to them one day you might love them as i do and feel there lost fealing like a child lost in a town center
love to all and the ones afraid to pass over you are all welcome here

love brent
