I have, for as long as I remember, had the same recurring nightmare: I am either in a huge house (like my old nurses accommodation), a huge ship, or in a closed fairground. I am being chased by I don't know who, and I'm running for my life, in and out of corridors, shafts and stairs. I wake up in a right old state when whatever it is has caught me. Don't know what it's all about and thankfully I don't have them too often!

RE: recurring 'nightmare'!!

Hi this sounds awful, especially when sleep is the body's way of relaxing and preparing us for a new day. If you may allow me to offer an explanation for your dream/s and forgive me but i speak as i find so heregoes,

"I have, for as long as I remember, had the same recurring nightmare: I am either in a huge house (like my old nurses accommodation), a huge ship, or in a closed fairground. The rooms/places are big, but they are not too familiar to you this may point at a feeling of ungroundedness, or moving towards something new, new territory that you are scared to approach, venture into, a job move perhaps or something new in that you havent been there before.

it could also point to unfinished business, you are frightened in the dream so your dream could be telling you subconsciously that you are not in the right place, that you need to move forward and that you probably know how to do this but are a little frightened, uneasy...

in and out of corridors - again lost, searching for direction. If you can when you awake say to yourself "this dream happens for a reason and I have nothing to be frightened about" ask your spirit guides to show an explanation or reason behind the dream/s and i believe you will be shown.

Protection:

Heres a good tip and it works: before you go to sleep, lying down imagine with eyes closed or open whichever, eyes closed is better but some find it hard to visualise, now starting from the top left of your head and working round clockwise imagine you have little mirrors pointing away from you so the shiny mirror side points out, work all the way round the head, ear, side of body, right down to feet, up the left side and finishing where you started, top left of head, all the mirrors point outwards, say to yourself, i am now protected, the mirrors work to ward off and protect you from anything negative and allows you to have blissfull, safe deep sleep.

cold showers work to, have a normal temp. shower and then last 4 - 10 seconds turn it cold so you go aaaaaaarrrrrrghhhh this cold shock cleanses the aura from anything negative.

i hope this helps, the dreams happen for a reason and you can work to find the reason, just ask.

with love

RE: recurring 'nightmare'!!

i do this a lot actually, when i dream i try and remember what it was i dreamed about and try to work out what it means, a lot of it can be understood from the days before, experiences etc, things that involve emotions, excitement, crying etc i look at and delve deeper to try and find out more, it is usually related to past stuff and also the way you feel. its really interesting

glad to have helped a little

Next time you have the dream, turn and confront the boogie-man with all the anger you can muster!!

I did this in the second of two recurring dreams and woke up feeling very good.

The feeling in the dream is all you really need to focus on.. in this case.. running away through fear/powerlessness.

Where else in your life do you feel powerless?
