In real Astrology, there's no such thing as "a Piscean" or "a Gemini". These are just shorthand for saying her natal sun is in Gemini and his natal sun is in Pisces. Their Moon signs are equally important. As this is romantic relationship, their Venus and Mars are also crucial. Also, the aspects (angles) between the different planets, sun, moon, etc. for instance, if she has Venus at 90 degrees from Pluto, and he has Mars opposite Saturn, etc etc.

All one can really say, from the information given, is that if each of them had their sun at about the same point in their respective sunsigns, e.g. 10 degrees Gemini and 10 degrees Pisces, then their natal suns would be in square aspect to each other. This would tend to bring them to each other's attention, for good or ill.
