There is controversy about this stone. This article leans toward the stone being a hoax. I have read articles which claim the stone has been proven to be a real mystery, not a hoax. I chose this article because it has a very good photo of the stone. Three linguists have done three interpretations of the text. The results are rather astonishing. One liquist claims the text is the Ten Commandments, the other two linguists translate a similar story of an isolated traveler.
The links to known dodgy figures would give me pause for thought to be honest. It doesn't really look that real, does it?
Theoretically i would believe it is real, but they say that the person who found it had a proven history of fabricating things like that. so why would anyone believe him now?
