Have you heard of Viniyoga? Viniyoga is an individual approach to yoga teaching, developed by Sri T Krishnamacharya. The lessons are usually one to one: the teacher develops a practice, just for you, according to your needs and wishes. You then go home and practise, ideally every day. I have a lesson once a month, where the teacher checks how I am doing, so that I can talk about it and progress exactly the way I need and like it.
I mostly practise first thing in the morning, alone in my bedroom, not distracted by others, not trying to see who does it better, or worse than me.
Viniyoga of course is ideal if you have special problems or limitations. For me personally, it is the best.
A website is What Is Viniyoga. Or, for London:
There are also group lessons if you prefer that, or if you live in Devon, Dorset or Somerset, a free consultation with my (excellent!) teacher Michelle Perkins: see www.yogaviveka.co.uk/
