Hi all
ok well i want to get some meat free products and i have tasted the Quorn ones which taste pretty good but can be rather pricey! Anyway i was wondering if anyone has tasted the Tesco meat free products? I am hoping to go there and by some stuff to stock up the freezer but would like to know what it tastes like first? I know their bacon is aweful but i see they now do streaky bacon, is that any good? And what about their meat free mince?
RE: Need help with Meat free products
Try Redwoods Rashers from H & B or their own veggie Sausages. Even H&B porkless pies are not only veggie but vegan so is their sausage rolls and pasties.
the Veggie mince is lovely.
I think the mince is very good. I think all the supermarket versions are good. I think tivall make them all. I would also like to know if the bacon version at tesco is any good?

Quorn is just as bad as meat, it has egg in it which is just as bad as eating meat - this explains why - Meet your meat .

Why do you think this link is associated with meat and egg eaters? There is a large number of us who ensure that our food comes ethical sources including our fruit and vegetables.
To say that web site is typicle of meat eaters would be the same as saying all vegans and vegitarians only eat GM crops.

Hens that produce eggs need feeding
this feed comes from rainforests that are chopped down , killing off 100s more species into extinction, all for hens feed , for people to eat their eggs.
There is no such thing as ethical eating of animals or animal by products , it's just a label put on food to make people feel better.(This has been discussed in other messages),
100s of millions of male chicks are killed days after birth each year because they are unable to lay eggs, free range/barn although is better than battery hens, is a label that is abused to the advantage of breeders to the nieve public.

Anyway, the original message was not about the discussion of eggs, she was trying to be prodcutive and cut down on meat products.
