Yes.

Our senses take in millions of inputs all the time and our conscious mind can only focus on a few of these, although our unconscious will kick one into the conscious if it needs (i.e. if something bites your foot and you weren't previously focused on your foot)

By using affirmations or focused meditation we can bring things into our 'awareness' such that we indicate to our unconscious mind that they are things we are interested in knowing about in our conscious mind. Thereafter, anything that relates to the focus of our affirmation will be 'noticed' by the unconscious and it will kick that forward to our conscious mind.

A classic example is if you go to buy a new car. You look around the showroom examining all the cars for the one you like and you eventually decide on one that is a new model in a colour you haven't seen before that you like. You can just see yourself driving around with everyone admiring your car because it's different from everyone elses.
The moment you drive that car away from the showroom you will find you start to notice other cars of the same model and same colour that you never noticed before. All of a sudden it seems that everyone has the same car as yourself. This is because you have brought that car into your unconscious focus of attention.

The unconscious mind is very powerful.

Thanks for your replies.

I really didn't know what was going on - as some of the things have happened in strange situations - when you'd least expect them to happen. Some of the things that have happened could be a heightened awareness of something but I can't give that explanation to a few others that ahve ahppened - they were so out of the ordinary. I also read in one of the postive affirmation sites, that if you start to recognise "signs" (after making the affirmations and viualisation) then you are on the way to realising what you want.

Havent been on a line for some time but this is a time of resolution of the rieki form of individualism this will bring about the forward pull of instinc that will bring about the creative form of resting period that completes the power of the strong individualism of intellect you will show those that are unaware to continuaty that brings about the facts of the flow of exsistance this is a place and time that is producing the flow of productions there will be a shift in the pull of the messages that complete the times of longevity there is a shape that the rieki messager completes there combines new with old that is avialable to much completness in the atsmosther that is intellectual process there is a move ment at the tiem that is polishing the productions to the complimenting attributes looking at the flow of the corithians inthe matters of hand can bringa bout the mixtures of the differences of luck the time fram brings about the partrinage thru the powers of messages of longing to the framing of placement of srutiny of interest of the ports of expression....Gypsee

It only means that you have more ability to use your mind power, while you need much more practice and heightened to create a more firm, understandable, gradual relation between your conscious and subconscious, IMHO quickness may cause harm and loss.

Well at least I believe in the power of mind.
