Hi All

I'm looking into retreat venues in the UK suitable for holding between 40-45 people for three days for meditation practice. Can't seem to find any except Oxon Hoath and Croydon Hall. Does anyone have any suggestions on a suitable one.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Another place in Kent The Seekers Trust near West Malling they have got 2 halls, 1 holds 25 people max believe the other one can take about 100 seated. They have 8 self cater flats for 1, 2 or 3 people they are basic but there's everything you need encluding towels and very reasonable prices. It's a lovely peaceful place with beautiful grounds, there's a garage 1 mile away for basic groceries or 2 miles away for better choice so well away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Would be interested if you do hold a meditation weekend in the Kent area could you PM me details if you do ... thanks and good luck

Cis

Thanks Atlanticpearl will get in contact and see what they can do.

Cis had a quick google for 'The Seekers Trust' and if it were just for me and a few people that would be ideal. But I'm actually inviting an enlightened soul (well my Meditation Master/Guide) from another country so wanted something where food is served and large enough to accommodate all the guests, just makes it that bit more special and relaxing for us all. Thanks for the suggestion though because it's really appreciated. Will pm you once it's all sorted..

Open to any other suggestions if anyone has any more ideas pls 🙂

Hi again, don't know if you have a link to Aylesford Priory, but here it is

they have accomodation there (not personally stayed), but the times that I have been for an afternoon now and then its a place of tranquility - there is a pond there with some birds and some gardens too, amongst other things.

Another possibility is Buckland House, Beaworthy, Devon perhaps - not a retreat as such, but beautiful and very peaceful.

Atlantic Pearl - thanks found the link and contacted them, just awaiting response.

Mureghj - used Buckland Hall a few years ago and venue size is excellent, although fully booked.

CarolineN - had a look at Buckland House, which looks really nice, but unfortunately a little on the small side.

Seems the venue I need is elusive, but I'll keep looking.

Thanks again for the suggestions, really appreciated..

I've recently heard of this one:

it's near Bridgwater in Somerset - I think it's fairly new.

Thanks, just had a look and it appears really nice, a real dedicated retreat venue but not enough rooms unfortunately 🙁

I too was going to suggest Buckland Hall in Powys.

think their is a place called Heartlands in West Wales, I'll see if I can find a link for you as I know that it was up for a sale a while back.
