I teach beginners and intermediate meditation classes but due to demand now also run a weekly practice session. It's an hour long and we practice our main meditations and have a wee chat about how everyone is getting on - I'd also encourage attendees to bring along any meditations they want to try or subjects they want to chat about but I wondered whether you guys had any recommendations - we mostly work with mantra and mindfulness or metta bhavna meditations but do some guided meditation and breathing exercises too.

I have been teaching meditation at many different levels now for about 5 years. When I first started I found the book 'How to Meditate' by Paul Roland good for giving some different ideas for basic meditation.
For classes ready to move on I liked working with some of Sanya Romans books - Spiritual Growth and Soul Love - these meditations are better over a period of weeks and with students who have become accustomed to meditation .
