Evening all

I have decided to train as a Life Coach and am getting confused about which course to go for. I am Psychology graduate and Reiki Healer who is interested in coaching corporate and small business owners with some spiritual development being also involved.

I've been told to go for an ICF accreditation and have been looking around for something suitable to start with. I want a recognised coaching qualification and am wanting to be the best possible coach I can be, so the training is impoirtant to me.

Does anyone have any courses they recommend as credible that leaves you with a solid foundation on the path to being a Life Coach?;)

Love and light x x x

Here's some advice I was given by a master coach when I was thinking about being a coach (link to reply I did on an earlier thread - they're all ICF accredited, I believe- of course, you can look on the ICF website to find courses in the uk):

Hi,
I did the course with the coaching academyfound the course to be very good with regard to the content and support. The weekend sessions were held at Excell in the docklands in Londonand they were mostly pretty good, there was one session which was poor but thet listened and obviously had words with the trainer as the next time he was good. The greatest thing was meeting all the others andworking in groups so you get practical experience as well as technical. The practical experience then included 6 sessions with 6 different clients and again was very useful.
They also now have a monthly magazine and I think they have taken over another coaching business so are pretty solid and have a lot of resources.

Details of the Academy Club can be found via this link:

With regard to who owns whom, this should clarify:

Originally known as The UK College of Life Coaching and The College of Executive Coaching, CMI has been running coaching courses for the last five years. Now owned by The Coaching Academy, CMI is part of The Academy Club membership organisation for coaches and people interested in personal development.

Belated reply, for which apologies, I turned up this thread on searching for relevant HP links for the "sticky" on training that's now pinned to the top of the forum:
