Hi
Can anyone tellme if they have done this course?
It seems very cheap, however there also seems a lot packed in there, any comments would be gratful.
Many thanks.
Hi,
As a Trainer myself I have three comments - (there will no doubt be more from others before the end of the day).
1. The content seems very underpriced (I'm already suspicious that this is not what it appears on first glance).
2. There is no practical training, yet the Diploma is described as " a complete professional training package". How can it be if there is no practical training?
3. There is no mention of indemnity insurance (which you would need to practice).
I only glanced through quickly this morning, and its possble I missed something.
David:)
I would suggest doing a face-to-face life coaching course, as there is no substitute for practical learning and experience. I'm a learning addict and have done some dozens of "live" and distance learning courses over the years, and, apart from the Open University, correspondence courses are mostly disappointing and do not equip you for practice. Also, the great majority are not valid if applying to register with any professional body.

Well I would love to do a face to face course, however I am unemployed atm, so as the costs are so high this is a big problem as I dont have the funds.
I am doing the Newcastle College course Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Certificate In Introduction To Life Coaching Skills, as there is no cost attached to it. I was then going to do the Stonbridge one as I could scrape together the £400, and then hopfully get the cash for the £2500 + face to face courses.
Does that sopund like a plan??

I would suggest not to bother with the Stonebridge course after you've done Newcastle College one - the latter is better quality and is an accredited qualification; save your money for some "live" training in the future! (though that should be chosen carefully too!)

Thanks for the advice, I did do the 2 day coaching academy overview, which was very sales orientated as are their emails.
Any ideas on where to go?
I aslo thougth that I amy like to do NLP and have enrolled on another 2 day overview, which I hope is not just a sales day.
Can anyone recommed NLP courses too and if it sits well with coaching.
Good quality NLP training is fantastic for personal and professional development, and if you had to choose between this and life coaching I would go for NLP (life coaching is heavily based on NLP skills anyway). In the north-west I would definitely recommend the Northern School of NLP and Associated Studies - they do some one-day free introductions, so that you could check out the feel and the vibe of the place.

Did you do NLP with them?
Hi Radiantpaper,
Ive sent you an email.
Did you do NLP with them?
Yes, with them and with various other training organisations, and consider the Northern School excellent (some of the students, me included, call it "Hogwarts" between ourselves).

What about this company ?
You could try it, but in my opinion you would be shortchanging yourself by doing a 7 day version of practitioner training - the standard length of face-to-face NLP practitioner training should be 20 days (or at least that is what is recommended by some of the more reputable professional NLP associations).
By all means do the free two-day diploma and see how you find them, as you are not losing anything.
