Hi All
I seem to have this black cloud over me constantly at mo, my mum been in hospital, but home now, and now her dog had to be put to sleep yesterday, these are just more reasons to be feeling low.
My kids are at school full time and i cant work hours i need during week as im a carer and 8am start is not possible with school run.
I have just got into a rut and got no motivation, and know i need to exercise, and am so oversensitive its affecting how i am with people which is not good!
I know i need to get back to Me but just dont know where to start?
Anyone else felt like this,i have a great hubby and kids, but just lost me 🙁
Thanx for listening to me waffle 🙂

Sorry to hear that you arent having a good time of it all at the moment.

I have times like this, thats when I try the polyanna theory....sounds daft but it used to work on the kids that I used to look after when it 'wasnt fair' etc...

Your mum is out of hospital which means that she is well enough to leave, it is unfortunate about the dog, but it is at peace...

Your work may be able to fit in with another type of care work, not all jobs start and end at the same time. Make a cosmic order for a job that suits you with regard to hours and your needs to come to you.

You are probably in a rut and lets face it if you are in the UK there is a possibility that you are suseptable to SAD.

Dont beat yourself up about this, take time for yourself and recharge yourself and aura with positive energy then go about your business and block anything negative that comes along. This will probably have a positive effect on your mother also as she will be looking to cheer herself up and get into a more positive frame of mind. She will then give off more positive vibes and then you will feel the benefit also.

Count your blessings, then count them again.

I hope this will pass soon and you feel better.

Sorry to hear about your problems, clareyangel. I think Rosie has given you some very good advice. It can seem a bit daunting to look at the positives in things that seem negative but it can help. I will send some reiki to you and your Mum. Hope you all feel brighter soon.

The quote 'I need to get back to me' is the key statement. It's at times like this you need to step back from everything that is going on in your life in order to gain some control and take steps however small to get yourself on track and moving forward again.

Breakdown all the elements into chunks and start from there, focusing on one part of your life at a time and look for ways to improve each issue.

Hope this helps.

Hi clareyangel,

I hear where you're at, I've been there myself and still struggle with motivation at times. With regards the need for exercise, for myself, I've found that getting out into the fresh air for some exercise first thing in the morning, really helps. I found if I didnt fit it in first thing in the day, then I didn't do it at all. I intersperse (sp?) my walking with the occasional 1 minute jog to get my heart pumping, and by the time I get home 15-20 minutes later I'd feel a boost of energy, self-esteem and motivation which makes me feel like if I can achieve other things. When I've managed it, it's been a really good kickstart, and I've felt good for the rest of the day.

I've also got some other exercises which were given to me which I can share, designed to change your focus, like others have said, to help recognise the postives...

In summary the Power Questions are...
in the morning ask yourself:
What am I happy about/excited about/proud of/grateful of/enjoying in/committed to... in my life right now?

In the evening ask yourself:
What have I been given today? What did I learn today? How has today added to the quality of my life?

If you ask yourself the questions first thing in the morning and last thing at night before you go to sleep, they not only require you to focus on your blessings, but also give you some "me time" to be still and reflect, which can help you to bring about change. Another tip is to focus on solutions and not problems. Once you've raised your vibrations on a thought level, then it should be easier for the rest of you to follow.

I'll be in touch again soon to see how you're feeling,

love, light and hugs

Claire x

I know exactly what you mean. I have felt like this for a long time & I hope reading the reply posts on here will help!
The only thing that I can suggest is to do something everyday that YOU want to do - for 1 hour a day, be you, not the mother or the wife, you. Otherwise, all I can say is good luck & I'm sorry your feeling the way you do. 🙂

getting back to you

Hi clareyangel,

I hope things are looking up for you and that you are enjoying life a little more. It can be hard feeling that way when as you say you have a nice family. But being someones wife and someone elses mum just isn't always enough. It's already been said but I think it's advise worth repeating; do something each day to make you feel good FOR YOU. It'll do wonders for your self esteem and put the fun back into not only your day but you'll be fun to be around too...everyone wins!
