🙁
Good evening all...

Can I please vent off a bit and then could I have some friendly advice..??

Firstly, have decided to become a holisitic therapist and have started on the path... doing VTCT AP&P Level 3 at the moment through distance learning, and have been networking the best I can.

However, due to no funding from the JCP, local groups am unable to get into what I want
BUT my BIL was offered a full level 3 qual as a Personal Trainer with Massage component at a residential college and since qualifying in Sept 10 has not done anything with it... not expecting FT residential as got a lot of issues at home BUT the jobcentre is not interested unless admin or driving, even though due to diabetes related eye issues cannot use a PC for too long...

So looked into doing a Personal Trainers Qual in new year then massage in the Sept 11... but still not possible financially... would love to become a holistic practioninor but something is stopping me (finances)..

Am I finding holes in my plan??

Please 😎

Could you explain the TLAs and the FLA?

With love and light,
Sue.

Was your brother in law on Job Seekers allowance after being made redundant? I got some Prince2 training from an EU funding whereas my boyfriend can't get funding for the same thing because he hasn't got a letter saying he was officially made redundant (even though the Tax Office have treated his last pay as such). I know it's annoying but that's the rules as the Job centre sees it.

Why not do some admin training unless it's all pc related?

Will anything help you to step sideways - for example, get employed in a natural health type shop which might lead to you being in the right atmosphere? Is there a local holistics group you can join to see where and how they trained?

Thanks very much lavenderrose.

Have sent some spec letters to local gym/spas and was due to go to a networking event for holistic therapists tonight, but was cancelled...

I have the ECDL qualification - have been looking for work.. will have to trust in the divine spirit.. and take it easy.. pushing self too hard maybe x

A friend of mine did her training while acting as a receptionist at the osteopaths part time - she's now a therapist in her own right.
