Recommended daily exercise?

Could someone please tell me what the recommended daily amount of exercise is?

That's a minimum really. It's government bluff to get us to do anything rather than lounge on our wonderfully comfortable settees watching our very good (sometimes) tv.

If you look at man's evolution we have exercised in order to survive. It's only since the Industrial Revolution that most of us haven't been subsistence farming, and prior to that we were hunter-gatherers. Could we feed ourselves in a hunter gatherer lifestyle with 30 minutes exertion a day?

Maybe but only in the Garden of Eden, from where we were ejected pronto. (allegedly). The problem is, that we are now back inunexpectedly back in the Garden(of Tesco), and we just aren't evolved to cope.

I'd say an hour to an hour and a half every day of moderate tohard exercise would put you at your physical peak. From an evolutionary point of view you could have tracked and caughta chicken, or a small deer, and plucked a variety of seeds/berries and pulled up afew roots in that time.You would have to prepare the food rather than just remove a carcbosrd puch and microwave it, and that is also exercise at a very moderate pace. But you would be surviving in good physical condition, able to live and with enough reserve to reproduce.

You want to have some rest days as well though.
