Check out these websites:

Actually, any local garden centre should be able to help you out (I wouldn't bother with the 'bigger' garden warehouse style companies - some of the staff are clueless!)

I've never really worried about poisonous plants, but have bought both my girls up with a healthy respect for what's happening in the garden. Also, unlike some of my friends, I did not fill in the garden pond, but instead made it into a focal point for wildlife/observation - the only person who fell in was my father - who quite frankly should have known better - and once we had picked ourselves up off the floor, and dried poor Grandad off, turned it into an educational opportunity for how not to behave around water!

Thank you for posting those links. My son has got the kids interested in planting seeds and plants, mostly fruit and veg but flowers too. I think he will find them interesting and useful.
