Wanted to share with fellow HPers that after many years of dreaming and searching I now have my very own amazing garden (well, and a house to go with it, which is nice too). It borders a wooded slope, and has beautiful mature trees and a stream running through. It is quite wild and overgrown at the moment but the potential is huge, and in my mind I can see it transforming into something even more special. I was planting the first few shrubs today, a magnolia and some highbush blueberries, and the soil was like velvet (that's the only way I can describe it!) - must be from two hundred years worth of leafmould!
I want to say a special thank you to HP's very own guru, jnani, with whom I spent a couple of weekends last year - I have no doubt that all the learning and the inspiration I gained from Ruby's deep wisdom have contributed to me manifesting my dream.
My clients are already benefiting by getting a chance to spend time among the trees, listening to the sound of the stream, watching the wildlife - and I am planning to eventually put up a wooden cabin in the garden to use as a therapy room.

May you all benefit from the glories of the natural world - I might even request a peek sometime 😮 :).
Am clearing lots of old logs, stones, nettles, brambles and general rubbish - hoping to use the space to create a meditation garden. It is a lovely setting by a stream under the trees. I don't have any fixed idea of what it should be like, apart from imagining it as a circular space, perhaps 4-5 meters in diameter.
Would be grateful for any ideas, suggestions and links to pics that could inspire this garden 🙂
