Hi guys and gals!

I'm posting for my other half, who's recently gone back to the gym. He's doing the typical 'trying to put on weight, build muscle, loads of weights' thing, taking creatine and glutamine and protein shakes etc. Gym stuff is all going fine, but, his skin's taken a dive! Bless him, he had acne as a teen, and the skin on his back/shoulders/chest has always been a bit iffy, but he definitely feels it's gotten worse with the new regime.

Personally I figure it's likely to be caused/exacerbated by the increased testosterone/DHT from all the working out, plus further worsened by the 'bulking' shakes and diet and supplements.

We're getting married in a couple of months, and I think he's a bit sad that he's going to be a spotty husband! Anyone got any suggestions for him? Anything that balances testosterone/DHT? Vitamin supplements? Topical solutions?

Evening primrose doesn't work for men, does it?!

Hope you lovelies can help!

Lu

Hi Lu

I have just replied to your other post about skin problems - all the answers are in the ! Lack of zinc and vitamin C can be part of the cause - but I'd also look at probiotics for immune function, chromium needed for blood sugar balance (acne has often been described as diabetes of the skin) and lack of omega essential oils.

Have a good read of the book and if you have any further questions then do come back to us!

Maybe try rosewater, it's meant to be good for the skin and can help reduce redness and inflammation.

I think it may be rosacea, since its not that unusual among men, Try using Rosacea line from Body Empire - it helped my cousin minimise his symptoms, and also contact a dermatologist to get confirmed:)
