Are there any real facts on greying hair and is there anything proven that stops or reverses it...preferably something natural.
And what are good natural ways of nourishing the hair internally and externally.
Thanks
RE: Grey hair and general hair health
Hi Merkaba
Apparently Sesame Oil is very good for greying hair - there are some claims that it can reverse/restore hiar colour, but how true that it is I don't know but it's also supposed to be good for improving texture and condition of greying hair.
You could try using a mixture of olive oil and sesame oil, say maybe 2 parts of each. Warm these gently in a pan & then add an essential oil for dry hair, like geranium, carrot or sandalwood (I don't know of any essential oils for greying hair, but if anyone does would be glad to hear of them). If you mix the base oils and the essential oils together, apply to your head whilst the oil is still warm & massage thoroughly through your hair. It will also be more effective if you wrap your head in a shower cap or plastic bag, then with a towel to retain the heat. Leave the conditioner on for at least two hours, preferably four. Wash out without water first, just shampoo, then add water.
If you try over a period of time, it & it doesn't do anything for greying hair, it probably will improve the texture & condition of the hair anyway - I do it about once a week or fortnight, & it's been great for conditioning, but have only just started so am keeping my fingers crossed about those greys 😉

RE: Grey hair and general hair health
I have used a high quality aloe and johaba shampoo and take aloe internally which is full of nutrients which has increased my hair growth drastically and quality. My hairdresser is amazed that I do not show any signs of grey. which I put down to the aloe.
Kind Regards
