Hi. I am not too sure where to post this message. My biological clock has been ticking non-stop for a little over a year but hubbie and I are due to start trying for babies next year. I have put on about a stone since we got married (a year ago). I have gone from a 34C to a 36C - my breasts are very big and full and not pregnant. I have also developed red stretch marks underneath them. I have put on weight before and never had this happen. They look absolutely terrible and I am very self-conscious.

I am just wondering why this is happening, whether it is the weight that I've put on or my hormones. I hated having small breasts (was 34A many years ago) and now I have big breasts and can't stand them. I have also been putting cocoa butter on them daily to get rid of the stretch marks but to no avail. Can anyone recommend a good cream to help them fade.

Thanks
Pemba

RE: Stretch Marks

Hi there,

Sadly stretch marks are genetic and nothing you do or buy (despite claims from various cosmetics manufacturers!) will prevent or treat them. The reason you are more prone the older you get is because the skin loses elasticity and gets thinner and thus "damages" more easily.

Generally just keeping the skin moisturised *might* help keep it elastic and thus prevent more from forming but apart from that there's not a lot else you can do. If they are red/inflamed/itchy then buy some vitamin E capsules (liquid capsules - any old ones), pierce them and massage the oil in, that will help reduce the inflammation (it's not worth buying bio oil or clarins etc as they are all essentially just vitamin E).

If it helps I've had three (massive) babies (all of whom were breastfed)and although I did get stretchmarks on my stomach in the latter weeks I have never had them anywhere else on my body.

HTH

RE: Stretch Marks

Thanks Sarah for the information. I suppose I forgot about the age thing - its just so upsetting. The only option is for me to lose some weight but I'm finding that also so hard - I generally eat healthy but have a very sedentary job which does not enable me to exercise including a poorly knee - gosh I sound like a wreck.... and I have no children! I must just persevere - it can only get better.

RE: Stretch Marks

They do fade pretty quickly though, and actually you'll find that once you have them *because* of pregnancy they will bother you so much less! the bottom my belly is covered (they are all fine and silvery now though) but it really doesn't bother me at all because of the reason they're there! (the real marks of motherhood?!).
I've found my whole outlook on life and my appearance has changed since I've had children 🙂

RE: Stretch Marks

"You said your girlfriend had one stretch mark. Well, if its 1 or 2 only I can move that in one 6 weeks 100 %."

Here how she do it: 2 ways

Use MEDERMA; apply it one the mark and keep it updated every 3-4 hrs. Don't cover the mark, keep it open to air as much as passable and put the cream only on the mark. Keep mederma on the mark area and its borders only!

To get mederma if you are in USA you will have to mail order. And best way to get it is go to the web site and take the ingredients of it to the pharmacist and he will give you an equivalent cream. Me derma is made in Germany and comes in many names.

2nd way is to use silicon pad. You get that pad from the pharmacy. You cut the pad to match the scar size exactly. Don't go bigger than one millimeter! Wash the treated area and if you can put some moisturizer or collagen cream for ½ hr then after it absorbed completely put the silicone pad and keep it all day long best at sleep. You can cover silicone pad! Its doesn't matter here.

Let me know if you need more questions.

Sorry for bumping this old thread.

Ayman, I met you on the old "stretchmarksolutions" yahoo group, and I know you managed to completely remove your stretch marks.

I need to get in touch with you to find out more about how to cope with them when they are many and thin.If I recall correctly, this protocol only works when they are a few.

      Hope you read this.

      Thanks a lot.
