Just wondering how reliable the pregnancy kits are? Has anyone had the experience of it being negative and then found out they were pg?
I had all the monthly symptoms at the right time except no bleeding, did a test and it was negative but still no sign of it!!!
the waiting is torturous!

Hi, just try in a few more days or a week. This happened to me (Pregnant or Not thread). I did the Clear Blue and the Digital and Pregnant! so yes they are very reliable as they came up for me not pregnant when I was sure I was pregnant but probably not enough HCG in the urine to detect pregnancy. It will come cause I just forgot about it and hey presto, bun in the oven !!

Hi Heaven~spririt,

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Sorry your business didn't work out but as you said one door closes, another opens. I just started out in business a couple of weeks ago, first two weeks were busy, now nothing.
Did your first pregnancy test say negative then, even though you were pg?

Hi Star_dust, yes I did. I did one clear blue test which came up immediately with a negative and I was even tested at the doctor but possibly it was too early for the signs, and may not have implanted yet. Then I got what I thought was my period, which was just normal and just found out pregnant yesterday evening !!!

You must be on a high so!
I am on day 34 now so tomorrow would be a week late. Because of my molar pregnancy at Christmas, the docs told me to wait a min of 6 months from last blood test and its only been 2 months since I finished the tests. So I'm getting anxious waiting! I've bought another test to try again tomorrow

At least you have firm evidence now, rather than those pesky tests! 🙂

Sorry to hear Star_dust! Although it took me a month to fall pregnant, was off the pill for over 6 months, with my first it took 4 months, and it was just so frustrating waiting for that dreaded overdue date. Keep on trying, try and forget about it and it will happen ((Hugs))

hi heaven~spirit, the whole point is that I wasn't trying!!! I'm on doctor's orders not to try for a minimum of 6 months. started the pill today so I don't have the monthly panics anymore. couldn't face the thought of another molar

My periods are expected but for due to some reasons it was a week late this time. I thought it was time to rule out pregnancy so I ordered Clearblue digital pregnancy test from Chemist Direct at £7. It can feel like a long time but finally I got a result, it said not pregnant. To me it was both a sigh of relief and a slight disappointment. Relief because it put my mind at rest and could expect a period anytime now. Disappointment cause I go for a baby craving moment every month and if I actually got pregnant I would be delighted. Results only show up for 24 hours before they disappear. If you’re pregnant then you get to discover when you conceived. Quite an impressive pregnancy test overall.
