There are a lot of different topics on here, but I couldn't see one for miscarriage so decided to start one.

Experts say that Miscarriage affects around 25% of pregnancies, for those who miscarry it can be a time of emotional stress, there is support through no doubt family and friends, but also through an association that was highly recommended to me.

For those that have a miscarriage we know what you are going through (or have been through)

Good Morning,
Not only is miscarriage very common it is also a very tabo subject. People never know what to say or how they can help. No one can ever understand what one is going through even if they have been through one themself ....as the loss effects people in different ways.

Much love and light,
Rachelx

Here is a poem that has helped many people :-
What Makes a Mother ~ Jennifer Wasik

I thought of you and closed my eyes

And prayed to God today.

I asked what makes a Mother

And I know I heard him say...

A mother has a baby

This we know is true.

But, God, can you be a mother

when your baby is not with you?

Yes, you can He replied,

With confidence in His voice.

I give many women babies

When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,

And others just for a day.

And some I send to feel your womb,

But there's no need to stay.

I just don't understand this God,

I want my baby here.

He took a breath and cleared His throat

And then I saw a tear.

I wish I could show you

What your child is doing today.

If you could see your child smile

With other children and say:

"We go to earth to learn our lesson

Of love and life and fear.

My mommy loved me oh so much

I got to come straight here.

I feel so lucky to have a mom

Who has so much love for me.

I learned my lessons very quickly,

My mommy set me free.

I miss my mommy Oh so much,

But I visit every day.

When she goes to sleep

On her pillow is where I lay.

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek

And I whisper in her ear.

Mommy don't be sad today,

I'm your baby and I'm here."

So, you see my dear sweet one,

Your children are not blue.

Your babies are here in MY home,

They'll be at Heaven's gate waiting for you.

So now you see what makes a mother,

It's the feeling in your heart.

It's the love you had so much of,

Right from the very start.

Though some on earth may not realize you are a mother,

Until their time is done.

They'll be up here with Me one day,

And they'll know you were the best one

Miscarriages - male factor causes

In miscarriages, the male factor has been poorly evaluated. In fact, in the vast majority of clinical protocols of recurrent miscarriage, the sperm is not considered or assessed. Recently, some studies have suggested the presence of genetic and metabolic sperm anomalies in couples suffering from miscarriages. Specifically, DNA fragmentation and altered oxidative stress in the sperm and from blood samples have been related to an increased risk of miscarriage.

The American Society of Reproductive Medicine reports that the male factor is responsible for one-third of fertility problems, and male and female factors together are responsible for another third of fertility problems (including birth defects). It has been suggested that up to 48% of miscarriages are thought to be due to abnormal sperm issues, ie. a male factor .

Good Morning Andre7

Ive taken your words from your site...These words are put so lovely,

"I believe that at least all the little souls survive and will be much loved and cared for in the Hereafter, and we will meet them all when we pass over. "

I know that having the same belief has helped me so much to get over my loses.

Thankyou for your link,

Love and Light,
Rachelx

I came across this site in connection with something else (they are based in the Medway Towns and can provide a keepsake box)

My daughter-in-law has lost 5 babies in the last 2 years. Both she and my son have had quite a few tests done. They recently found out that she has an underactive thyroid and have told them that could have been responsible.

Hello Summerberry89,
Im sorry to hear of so many losses, my heart goes out to you. I have had two miscarriages in the last six months and my tests have also come back all ok. However i do have three children and never suffered from a miscarriage until recently. Me being me was able to seek guidance and peace of mind (alternative way) through a good friend and crystal tutor who told me the reason why these babies were not staying....I have also been told the same information by two different tarot readers and this helped my a great deal. So i can not offer any advice on dos and donts. All i know that people do go on the have healthy babies after recurrent miscarriages. I am no spring chicken and will be 42 years young this year but i have a new partner who has no children. So we are still trying for another baby and i am making sure i eat the right food and be patient and let go of trying so hard to be pregnant. I have checked out the website posted by Andre7 and i will be looking into sending off a hair sample to see what they might find.
Wishing all the best for the future,

Love and light,
Rachelx

Hi summerberry

I've had 3 miscarriages in the past 3 years. We had all the tests, and it turns out I have 'sticky blood syndrome'. Which basically means my blood clots too quickly so I'm on asprin and have to have daily injections to stop my blood clotting so quickly. I'm now 18 weeks pregnant so don't give up hope. There is a great book I'd love to recommend to you its called The Whole Person Fertility Programme by a lady called Niravi Payne. I think because you've had tests and everything is ok, it may be some sort of psychological block stopping you getting pregnant. The mind-body connection is so strong I think many of us don't realist this. I've read the book cover to cover a few times, as there was a point where we just weren't conceiving.

Don't give up hope, I'm 38 so not a spring chicken when it comes to fertility. Good luck x

Well done lilypie, What wonderful news 🙂
I was tested for the sticky blood syndrome but all came back ok. However a few tests have now come back showing slight problems.....it looks like ive got an under active thyroid and my partner has got this condition called rob translocation......

robertsonian translocation - definition of robertsonian translocation in the Medical dictionary - by the Free Online Medical Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Its been a bit of a shock and ive been advised that if we do manage to fall pregnant that it would be worth have amniocentesis.....:( and i really would rather not have one!!

I have gone on a complete overhaul with my diet and have now started counselling for the loses...goodness i thought i had done my share of crying when i lost the babies but still the tears come some 12months after my first lost.

I will keep you posted if i also have some happy news 🙂

love and light
