I'm now 9 days overdue and the doc wants to induce me tomorrow morning which I'm sort of considering but also sort of not! I do want this baby out though because I'm getting super impatient 😀

Any 'baby get a move on' vibes that could be sent my way today would be very much appreciated! Have tried just about every old wives tale in the book over the past week and have figured that they don't work 😀

Thank you! x

I got my OH to rub my feet, especially the uterus point - something must have worked, because 27 hours later, baby due 12 days previous appeared!! (I also reckoned that the doc had estimated my due date wrongly).

I was a week overdue and totally fed up being heavy in the hot summer so I walked around the park for 1/2 the day making sure i made it as uncomfortable for her as possible bouncing up and down hee hee! ...contractions that night though! Good luck! x.x.x.

The little pickle pot will come when good and ready. I too went on a very long walk, up hills the lot! My waters broke and voila.... Mary-Jane came into the world.
Wishing you lots of luck, hope you go into labour naturally. Ahh I am jealous as its the most wonderful thing in the world, when you 1st see that little face staring up at you!!

Spicy food and sex are meant to help? 😉
Also, of course, the acupressure/reflexology points for the uterus etc, the same ones you should avoid during early pregnancy!
For instance:

I realise you have tried all sorts, and walking is a good idea - but don't get too tired!

How about sitting down and talking to your little one - greet it with love, and say how thrilled you are that you have been chosen to be its Mum, and you have done your best to nurture it right through pregnancy. Say how you are longing for it to arrive, it is time right now, and it is quite safe for it to start coming immediately, there's no reason to wait any more, all is ready for its arrival. And words to that effect, plus any more that fit with your thoughts and ideas.

If you go to this site you will find a diagram showing the tapping points for EFT and tapping each point (use the body only) and addressing baby using each phrase at a different point will probably reinforce this somewhat. It's what I did when I helped my daughter through her delivery and it made such a difference - she was 15 days overdue! I actually carried on right through the delivery and it was brilliant!

Hope all goes well and I'm sure all the long wait will be so very worth while!

Love and Light

EFT is about the only thing I haven't tried so many thanks for the link! Have had the serious chat with baby, done the 2 hour walk with the dogs, eaten vindaloo twice, eaten fresh pineapple, (more than one of them 😀 ), tried the reflexology points last night and this morning, nipple tweeking 😮 done star jumps, walked upstairs sideways.....

Can't face sex 😮 Nooooooooo!

I can't believe I'm telling you this as I'm a fellow woman, but apparently the prostoglandin in semen is much better absorbed through the stomach....:o
I think I read that in a manly place like Mens' Health or something, so do take it with a pinch of salt.
The things men will say to get some exciting action, eh!...

Hope all is well, and that your period pains have by now concreted themselves into something altogether more exciting!
All the best for the forseeable,

Back from hospital with no news! Decided against chemical induction until Sunday but had a sweep with midwife. NOBODY told me how much that was gonna hurt 😮

Yes first baby. Maybe it hurt because I was already on the way to progressing okay without help. Just waiting now and trying to figure out whether I'm feeling contractions or just period like pain. So confusing when you don't really know what you're feeling!

Hello Seashells,
It does feel like that after a sweep, so keep your fingers crossed and hopefully....things will get going.
My mum was a great help, she knew when it was time to go to the hospital.

Take care,
Rachelx
