ok, well here goes... My boobs had been sore for a while and I had just started to feel a bit sick (though I put that down having a cold!), so I took a test on Sunday and it turned out positive (no waiting for the three minutes or even the 60 seconds, the results cameliterally straight away!). I had a doctors appointments today. Paul had mentioned that he thinks it would be best if we leave having kids to later, however I think that it's wrong to punish a baby. My G.P. agrees with me saying that he definately does not recommend that I have it done, and he would say no if I asked for it. So, if the doctors test comes back positive, can I just ask you all to think happy thoughts and send me good energies 🙂

I'm scared after what happened the last time, and I know I shouldn't be telling anyone at this stage, but I have to tell someone (or lots :)) or I'll burst 🙂

RE: i'm back

First of all I would like to say a huge congratulations to you.

I am nearly 29 weeks pregnant. I know what you mean about telling everyone though.
I had to tell people right away.
I'm a great believer in what is meant to be will be.

I always think if your meant to have the baby, then telling people about it at an early stage won't make a blind bit of difference. I will however send you love and good wishes.

I am a bit confused however, about the part where Paul said he wanted to leave having kids till later. Do you mean he wants you to have an abortion?

I'm sorry if I have read this the wrong way.
I hope you haven't taken offence.

RE: i'm back

Thank you both for being so nice 🙂 His oldest brother is expecting a baby with his wife in April, and by my calculations (which are probably really wrong, lol) we're due, everything willing, at the end of summer. So there won't be much between the cousins 🙂 It still sounds weird, though!

Hi Hails,

Yea that is what I meant with Paul, but my heads a bit mad at the moment, lol - I'm sure many of you know the feeling 🙂 - however my gp wouldn't do it anyway, and when I told him he freaked a bit and then he's like 'wow, we're having a baby'.

xx

hhhuuummm...it's not up to your GP...it's you body & your GP should keep his/her opinions to themselves!!!

Everything about being pregnant feels weird, I remember how hard to was to get my head around the idea of having a baby, it just doesn't feel true in the early days & can be quite scary & daunting...but everything kind of fits into place when the baby's born...& he (or she) has got a cousin to play with too...it all sounds so perfect;)

Good luck, keep us posted

Love

Amelia Jane - I think what the GP meant was that to have a termination would need a doctor's approval and he wouldn't give his. This wouldn't stop Linzi going to another doctor or seeing one in a family planning clinic who would give approval.

RE: i'm back

Yes, it does need gp's authorisation, but I'm not going to another doctor because I remember feeling how I did the last time and I don't want to do it. Anyway he said that he felt I would probably regret it and because I have already miscarried, he felt that it wouldn't be a good idea. Anyway, I'm glad, I didn't want a termination anyway :).

It is weird! Exciting, but weird and paul has definately come round (see how easily the numpty changes his mind?!)

Hi Therapist.

I'm glad Paul has come around.

It is hard to get your head around being pregnant. Even though I can feel him moving and kicking. I'm still glad when I hear the heartbeat at my antenatal apointments.

I didn't really belive I was pregnant untill he started moving. Everything seems unreal at first.

Sometimes even now I think wow I'm actually having a baby, and It's hard to belive.

I wish you all the best. Keep us posted.

RE: i'm back

Hi everyone,

It is really weird, but I'm not far on and I can't really feel anything (apart from nausea! and tender breasts!).

I've seen my midwife and she told me that I should get a scan date for late January (hopefully) or early february. So we'll see!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🙂
