Hey every body

I saw the midwife on thursday and everything was fine except my blood pressure.. it was 270/88 (she couldnt get a correct reading so she told me to go streight to the maturnity unit to get it done properly.. when i got there it was 155/88 then 145/107 and 185/105 and that last one was the reason i ended up staying in for two nights.

Im now on tablets called methyldopa (to be taken 3times a day) and have to see any medical person to do my bp twice a week.

What im wondering is.. will i have to have my baby early? As i know high bp is bad but i dont know how bad mine is, My bp when i left the hosp was 133/70.

Any one had the same kind of thing?

Obviously i know ur not doctors but its just something thats niggling me.. i will of course ask the consultant next month.

Thank you in advance 🙂

Hope ur all well
xxx:confused:

Hi, I know it's easy to say, but try to relax as much as possible 🙂 I had a BP like yours at 19 weeks, and was gradually inched along till 34 weeks, when I was induced. But everyone is different, and your medication may keep yours under control much longer. If you are working, you may need to consider stopping a little earlier than planned, but I would say the main things are to relax, make sure you go for regular monitoring and take the prescribed medication. Lots of luck with your pregnancy - and do your best to enjoy it 🙂
