Hi
Am coming off my pill at the end of May and am currently looking at teh different folic tablets and other vitamins i need to take.
My sister in law is pregnant and was told by her doctor that folic acid combined with iron is the best thing for pregnancy but I have been told my my mother that combined pills are not as effective and the doses are not as high.
What do you think, has anyone a theory on which is best?
RE: folic pills
I would definately recommend foresight hair mineral analysis or seeing a nutritional therapist (which I can recommend if you like) who will assess you as an individual and will prescibe supplements tailored to you so that you have a healthy pregnancy, birth and baby.
Let me know if you want more info.

Tamara
RE: folic pills
I took one specifically designed for preg. ladies, but can't remember what it was called. A good health food shop would probably tell you. I was a bit useless with taking tabs generally, and morning sickness didn't help, which iswhyI went for a combined tablet.
Well done on the pre-planning. Muchbetter than scatter brain here - numberone son is now a strapping 7 year old - no thanks to me. He was a happy accident though - does that excuse me? And I did start the tabs the day i found out.
Good luck!
