RE: Fish Oil Effective For Pre-eclampsia
From a personal point of view, I had fish oils with both mine, 1st one ending in a 33 weeker due to severe PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension as it is now known), the second baby only a year later I benefitted enormously from the tommy's baby research, had one aspirin a day till week 34 (after I had to stop, yep the blood pressure raised and i was on bed rest for a week before it stabilised again) but was also on the recommended higher doses of vits C & E, happy to report NO PIH problems, and I owe this to Tommy's I believe....
so whilst i believe fish oils beneficial for me it was the combination of aspirin, vit c & e which did the job....

RE: Fish Oil Effective For Pre-eclampsia
I know this is an old thread, but I am just starting my second trimester in my second pregancy, having sadly had a stillborn baby last year following PIH. So you can understand I'm trying to find out all I can to optimise my and the baby's health this time.
Just wondered- I shy away from fish oil supplements- as they make me burp horribly fishy all day after taking them, even when taken with food etc. Any way of combating this, or are there any brands which have less of this effect? Thanks in advance for your help or any advice you can give me to help me keep my blood pressure down this pregnancy.
RE: Fish Oil Effective For Pre-eclampsia
Im not sure if it helps with the blood pressure but folic acid tablets, one a day are reccomended by my doctor.
