due date is near but I feel no signs that I'm going to deliver anytime, what must I do to help my baby come out? I don't want a caesarian.

Any suggestions on what should i do?

Let mother nature do her thing! You never see people who are 11 months pregnant. Baby will come out when good and ready.

You could of course try all the old wives advice - eat a hot curry, go for a long walk, drive on cobble stones, have sex.......... I tried all of them, but my babies both arrived 6 days late - and grew up to love curry and walking......

You can go 2 weeks over your due date before they will consider inducing you as long baby is healthy. Babies arrive when THEY are ready and not before.

The only reason they will do a c-section is if there is a health risk to you or baby from continuing the pregnancy, or if baby shows signs of distress and seems to be at risk of continuing the labour. A c-section is never done without good reason. Why not talk to your midwife about your concerns?

Good luck - and don't worry

Sally 🙂

Because I've talked to mothers lately and some of them says, if baby poops inside, it might cause a terrible accident. is this really true?

I would advise you to stop listening to stories from other Mums and talk to your midwife. Yes, babies can pass meconium in the womb, but it doesn't happen very often.

If you are concerned call your midwife!

Jabba has given you god advice. I am also a Mum - and I spent 10 years working as a pharmacist at a local women's hospital with a VERY busy maternity unit that dealt with problem pregnancies other units couldn't manage. So I am speaking both from personal AND professional knowledge.

Becoming a Mum is a wonderful and scary thing.....but millions of us women have done it and had very healthy babies. And for all of us there was the 'first' time it happened. DO talk to your midwife because she will be able to re-assure you.

My first baby was three long weeks late! I was waddling and could hardly move and after week two of no show I had to go for daily checks only to get sent home again saying wait.

Then it all started happening and I had a very quick birth of under 8 hours, almost as if to make up for lost time lol 🙂

Good luck

If you are concerned, Wanda - call your midwife and talk to her. Many people experience swollen feet and ankles during pregnancy - I know I did - but talk to your midwife.

Is this your baby? Where do you live? Talk to your midwife and then come back and tell us what she says.

At this stage in your pregnancy if you have any concerns call your midwife .When did you last see a midwife/doctor and have a check of any sort? You should have been seen a couple of weeks ago at least I hope. What did they say then?

Swollen ankles ARE common...but very rarely can be a symptom of high blood pressure which at this stage in your pregnancy would need to be monitored. So do give your midwife a call

Make sure you make your way in at the first sign then, you certainly don't want to be caught out. You can always ring your gp about your swelling feet too as that should be checked out at this late stage to make sure everything is ship shape 🙂

Me and hubby heard so much rubbish about what we should be doing when our baby boy was born. Fortunately, hubby is something of an internet freak, so he did a ton of research about all things pregnancy. The internet is a great place to seek out answers. Anyway Wanda, hope all is well with you and with baby!!

Just want to tell you an update. 😀

I undergone CS back feb 14. This is due to the lack of amniotic water inside and the doctor says, I'd experienced extreme painful labor if I pursue normal delivery.

Anyway, shes good. she's a healthy baby and I love her.

Hey, nobody ever said giving birth was easy. And with so many different possible scenarios that could take place, chances are you'll be in for a few surprises no matter how much you plan for the big day. So it's only natural to be a little scared-whether this baby's your first or your third.
