Anyone have any holistic ideas to help me calm by stress levels and stopped me being so emotional. I am a moment away from tears all the time and move 300 miles away from home on Friday. I am so close to my Mum and Dad (divorced) and am dreading leaving them :o(

I want to be happy as am delighted to be having a baby, but feel so sad to be leaving my family and friends but need to be with my OH and we have a new house.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Love Angelcakes xxxxxxx

Hi

Its horrible moving away from home, I know I felt bad when i moved 2 hour drive away when I did nursing training and could not move back quick enough! Being pregnant makes things worse...

Why don't you get in touch with a reflexologist who also deals with pregnancy in the area you are moving to? It will help both you and your body/baby cope with not only physical changes but emotional ones too.

Hope that helps

Hi

I really feel for you. My last pregnancy was extremely stressful - I think all the raging hormones make it hard to put things into perspective! I joined a pregnancy yoga class and that really helped, it was a good way to make new friends too. I also used relaxation music to calm my stress levels, a good one was Pregnancy and Birth by Relax Music, i'm sure you can buy it online. I listened to it every day and practiced my breathing exercises, it helped a lot to calm me down.

Good luck with the move!

Moving so far away is a stressful thing to cope with at any time, and pregnancy hormones plus the knowledge that you'll soon have a baby and all the worries that brings, are bound to make you feel worse. (((hugs))) As for ideas on how to reduce your stress levels Reflexology, EFT, Bach flower remedies, yoga, meditation are all suitable for use in pregnancy and should help you feel more in control. My personal favourite is EFT as you can learn to use it yourself and use it whenever you are stressed, not having to wait for an appointment or class.

I hope the move goes well and you feel settled in your new house soon. 🙂

Life is all about leaving your comfort zone and starting new adventures. The tears will eventually dry up and you'll be starting an amazing new chapter in your life. Good luck! 🙂
