Can someone help me? My husband at 39 years, suffered a seizure. He had previously and since, then been suffering, with neck and shoulder pain. He is this week having an MRI Scan, but each medical person we talk to, does not feel there is a relationship with this and the seizure. I feel, that this was caused by extreme tension in either sternocliedomastoid muscle or trapez muscle restricting. bloodflow to the brain.
Can anyone comment on this.

Hi. First of all, don't panic. It is rare for these symptoms to be associated.

Please ensure that he gets an MRI and MRA (MR Angiogram) at the same time, to rule out a vertebral artery dissection or problems with blood flow through the vertebral arteries. Problems with the vertebral arteries can cause headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain as warning signs prior to a stroke, brain haemorrhage or seizure.
(1) Ask for an MRA scan as well as an MRI. They can be done at the same time.
(2) Try to expedite his MRI/MRA scan via your G.P or by contacting the X-Ray
department of the hospital he has been referred to.

If the MRI and MRA show that everything appears normal, then you can be reassured that the neck/shoulder pains are not related to the seizure.

I hope this has been helpful in some small way.
