Hi all,

I help clients with MS and at the moment, I feel that I need to look at this phenomenon.

Nobody seems to know what causes the "MS Hug" (tight gripping like a rubber band around tummy area). I am searching for the possible mechanism involved in the MS Hug and in spasming of the body. What perplexes me the most is that this is happening when the client drifts off to sleep, so something that happens in sleep is doing something that contributes to this effect. But what? And what else is involved?

If anyone can give me a serious answer or point me in the right direction (eg scientific articles I can buy), I would be very, very grateful.

RE: "MS Hug" and spasm at night

Hello...

My best friend suffers from MS... I dont have any proper medical advise... BUT she recomended a REALLY good website... Apprently this lady who set up the website suffered badly with MS untill she started with a special diet. She is now leading a normal life and the change in eating has practically stopped all the symptoms!

I posted the link to this website on another thread but I can't find the thread for the life of me now! LOL! The thread name was MS or Multiple Sclirosis (sorry spelling) Maybe if you do a serch you will be bale to find it?

Sorry... Hope that helps a tiny a bit...

Much Love

Hi Mystic,

Thanks. My client is on the diet and MS clients I have helped have benefitted from it 🙂
