I am kinda scared to know why i am like this. I cant even remember if I have always been this way but anyway I have noticed more now then before since my mom brought this to my attention. that if say I move something with my one hand my other hand kinda has to do the same movement. Its difficult to explain like If I was twisting a door knob with my one hand the other hand makes that movement too. Its annoying and I try to ignore it and hide it buy holding something in my other hand or something. Kinda embarassing. I am under alot of stress lately I am taking care of my mom who had a stroke and also the house and my sisters who are a handful and working full-time. My dad isnt in our lives kinda just walked out and left and comes by maybe around the weekends..So I am sure stress is doing a number on me. But does anyone suffer from this problem..I had blood work taken and going to the doctors on the 7th. Everything should be fine though cause usually if something is wrong they call the house and tell you to come in sooner and its been a couple weeks now since then.

thank you

Hi Angelgirl,

Unfortunately I dont experience the same thing you do, but, do recall a girl at school who used to experience exactly what you have just explained. And because of this, I doubt it is stress related (but of course I am not a doctor). I think there are people who experience this and maybe it is not very common, but, I dont think you are alone.

What I do know for sure though is that generally we worry about things that - in the end - work out just fine. Keep your chin up.

Hi Angelgirl

I don't have a medical explanation - could be something to do with your motorneurones - but thought you might find this interesting.

If someone is standing up barefoot and you ask them to lift their big toe off the floor, keeping the other toes down on the floor, most people will move the index finger or thumbs away from the other fingers too - interesting eh!?

Also, reflexology works on the basis of everything being connected as does rolfing (works with fascia rather than muscles or bones), so the fact that you do this probably isn't that wierd.

Perhaps you are so stressed that you are somehow shortcircuiting your body/brain connection so it duplicates in the body? Just an idea...
