From my understanding, 'secondary metabolism' is a simulation of nature's energy..in other words a synthetic product or chemical that has been artifically produced.
Not understanding your reply. Please explain.
Hi Janet - have you tried Googling 'secondary metabolism'? I just tried and it came back with thousands of links - the top 5 seem to go into some detail describing the theory.
Did at the time but think it was a bit too way over my head - wanted it in simpler terms. Forgot about this as I posted it way back in May.

Hi janet, 🙂
Plants do more than just grow, they have many different attributes. One of the simplest ways I can us an example of secondary metabolism is plants used to make antibiotics, fragrances/perfumes, medicines, flower essences, etc..
For instance we can obtain from willow bark, salicylic acid or what is known as aspirin. Aspirin then is a secondary metabolism. Hope that helps a bit. 🙂
Yes I can see and understand what you are saying - original question was in regard to a homeopathic remedy that I was told would give a secondary metabolism and didn't understand what that meant

I would PM Hom who would be more likely to be able to answer your question, Janet.
Thanks Caroline - to be honest I had forgotten all about this thread.
