Hello, I'm 19. I went to the doctors about 5 or so months ago, because i had what i thought was a lump on my testicle, turns out it was just the epididymis. But my right testicle has always been sore to touch at the bottom and felt like it should be left alonefor some reason.. well, my problem now is, I am definately feeling some sort of lump or swelling on my right testicle at the bottom. It seems to be worse while aroused (bigger more sore to touch) and is really concerning me. it feels almost like a swolen tube attached to my testicle, but im not 100% sure if it is actually attached...

I really dont know what to make of any of it, but i hope i can get some helpful feedback and hopefully releive me of my depression, thanks.

This is one for the GP again, because it may need an ultrasound exam to diagnose. You could have a rotation in the testicle, causing a twist in the tubes and vessels to and from it, which can potentially require urgent treatment, or perhaps an inguinal hernia (any swellings elsewhere?). Then there are infections and all the rest.

I think without your doctor's opinion and a proper diagnosis you're unlikely to feel more happy about the situation, so get yerself an appointment, I'd say.

Possible causes....

Dear Solar9,

I can appreciate this must be worrying you..and here's hoping by now you have indeed seen a GP who has referred you to a GUM clinic for special investigation.

Much like what kvdp suggested, it could be a Torsion ( a twisted testicular tubes ).

Equally a small Cyst in this area can bring about swelling and pain...Another thing you cannot rule out till a proper scan is done is accumulation of fluid in scrotum area that can enlarge and feel very sensitive to touch. Ofcourse these sysmptoms will feel worse when you are aroused with much more sensitivity and increased bloos flow to this region of your body.

For very few men, it may be a small kidney stone that passes down and blocks the movement of fluids...that causes this kind of discomfort and pain.

In any case GP may not be able to conclusively give you a diagnosis or treatment based on a quick physical examination ..as a hospital scan may be required to look deeper..

Dont sit on it,,, make that appointment if you haven't done so already Solar9.

I wish you well and a speedy recovery !

with warm wishes

Vathani
