Hey all, I've had this small white lump for a while, I already have forcyde spots and it isn't one of those, it right near the base of my penis on the shaft left side, I've had it for a long time, 8 months maybe, I've kept squeezing it but it kept refilling, so about 2 weeks ago I thought ''Hey I'll leave it for a bit, see if it goes away on its own'' but it just got bigger and I thought scratch that a squezed it till some pus or whatever came out, I didn't squeeze all the pus out, then I cleaned it with an alchohol wipe, the next day it was red with a white head. I cleaned it with a wipe everyday.

So far I've left it for three days (todays the third day) thinking it would go away, but it's only got bigger and redder, the skin is evidently stretched, If I move my penis to the right ( What I think is a spot is on the left ) I can faintly see two white heads inside, the white was far more visible on the first day and second day.

Basically I want to know what the heck this thing is ! I think it is a spot, usually they get worse before they go away, but I'm just seeking reassurance,, other opinons etc. I'm going out at the weekend, can't be dealing with this chilling there ! 😉

I've been sexually active, but I don't believe it is a STI. Any help is much appreciated.

I think the best thing you can do is get yourself down to your doctor and ask for an opinion/diagnosis. It's always better to be safe than sorry, especially in that department. 😉

Aye I wouldn't care if it was anywhere else, just because it's down there. Just looks like a spot to me, just looks weird as the skins different down there 😉

Well im on oxytetracycline for acne anyway, so I'll carry on taking those and ring the GP tommorow if it hasn't got any better. Chances are I won't get in till next week and it might of gone anyway, cheers bud.

Don't be embarrassed about showing your bits to the doctor. They've seen it all already and have to regularly do checks down there for patients.

Whatever it is you can be pretty sure there's a good old accumulation of metabolites under the skin. The body pushes this waste outward and that is what the bacteria feed on. Topical creams tend to reverse the cycle so driving things invards, the antibiotic can also make things more complicated, don't stop taking it however unless advised by the GP.

What we normally do for pus-filled skin discharges and surface inflammation is to use drawing-out paste (magnesium sulphate paste or epsom salts). You get it in boots for about 2 quid, blob it straight on the site and you're away. Nothing goes inwards, it stays on the skin and encourages the metabolites to the surface, I've seen it turn around very persistent lesions before quite quickly without the need for drugs.

Now I'm not recommending it, what I am saying is that while you're at the Doc's you could ask if it's okay to use it, if he has no objection then you're okay. He's unlikely to think of it, overworked GPs are so bombarded with pharmaceutical information that they sometimes overlook the good old fashioned stuff that works.

But diagnosis first, ok? Even if it isn't an STI, open sores mean you are more at risk, so please be careful not to spoil your weekend or anybody elses: don't bypass the GP.

And do feel free to give us an update too, it's nice to know how things turn out.

Best wishes
