Dear gents,
I saw the other day at our local Planet Organic a shower gel brand called '100bodycare' and on the packaging of the products, it says they contain only natural ingredients and no chemicals. It also says that the ingredients assist sports recovery and cool down muscles.
Now my question is: has anyone tried them already? Do they really help your muscles recover and what are your general thoughts on toiletries with natural ingredients ? Do you use such products ?
Cheers 🙂
K
Hi krissie
I haven't tried the gel, but I would suggest a tablespoon of epsom salts in the bathe and soaking for 20 mins will be much more beneficial. The magnesium is necessary ofr relaxing muscles. And it's a lot cheaper with no possible nasties in it!
Hi CarolineN,
thank you very much for responding! 🙂 good advice (and very tempting too) but as I don't have a bath I need something on the go. I already bought that brand and I must admit it feels great! My skin is really smooth and, I don't know if I am imagining it, but my muscles do hurt less after a long session in the gym.
(there's a detailed explanation of all the ingredients on the back and I must admit I am quite impressed that they are worded in plain understandable English compared to other brands).
On the plus side, the fact that it is fully natural satisfies my desire to be a more responsible human being by minimising the damage I do to the environment 😀
i'd suggest give such products a chance, they are good for your body and for the planet too! 😉 😛

hi krissie
thanks for sharing this wonderful post
I have seen Epsom Salts shower gel but not sure if you would absorb much through the skin considering the nature of showering, would it be on your shin long enough for it to be effective? I would look for a natural isotonic drink instead if you are wanting to fix up your sales.
Or, a good cooling shower gel l I like is Original Source Tea Tree and Mint. Natural fragrance and very cheap and cheerful! 😉
