Hi All,

About 18 months ago i went to the doc's with aching in my balls and in the grion area also my sack is very red and a bit puffy. He said that i have an infection in the tubes that fed my balls. They ruled out cancer and some STD's. The problem i am having is it keeps coming back, everytime i go to the doc's is just more anti-inflam's and some pain killers along with some antibiotics.

Does anyone else suffer from this and if so what has been done to help you???

Hiya

Well not being male I don't have the problem - but if I were you I'd see if you could get some stronger antibiotics, or get a referral to a men's health specialist. 18 months is too long to put up with an infection like that. You have my sympathy!

well this is back again and guess what more pain killers and antibiotics. which have not worked. I am not sure what to do as the Doc says that antibiotics is the only wat to treat it.

Any ideas???

Hi Olli

I'd push for further investigation, if I were you.

Also, are you taking probiotic capsules with and after the antibiotic? That is, in the region of 10-20 billion of L. acidophillus and Bifidobacteria? The amount in bioyoghurts is no more than maintenance for fit people, but you seem to have an inflammatory condition which may be caused by compromised gut flora which are necessary to keep the immune system in your gut up to scratch - 80% of your immunity is based there, hence when you have gut problems then all sorts of other things can go wrong too.

You will need proper advice on immune problems - try for a practitioner too.

All the best.

Caroline

Hi All,

Well the inflamation in the groin area has come back with a bad attack. They have put me on more pills. The ache is bad but it does seem to be getting a little better. The Doc said it can take up 2 months to settle down. I think it maybe something to do with having bad guts over the last few weeks. I think one makes the other worse.
